View Full Version : Who out of the current side would make good coaching material when they retire?
I am not sure whether any of our current players would make good coaching material... Maybe Chapman or Harley, but other than that I don't know. Who do you think?

Ling
Ling - "One of the boys" (doesn't make for good coach)
Chapman - Too out spoken & frank (not good for player management) but certainly the right level of professionalism & motivation
King- Could be a great ruck coach
Harley - Seems to tick all the boxes
Cameron Mooney - Lots of hot heads have become good coaches, might be a dark horse
Milburn - No idea
To hard to tell with the younger players

Harley for sure and possibly King. G Ablett could give it a shake, do Captains always make best coaches? I think even Gary could captain our side so maybe im basing coaching on the wrong thing.
Matthew Spencer - Hes gotta be good at something :p

Charlie Gardiner.
Seriously. Seems to be composed under pressure, and displays on-field leadership in the reserves. May make decisions 30 seconds after they're needed, but they'll be the right decisions. No kicking involved, the only way he'll err is by putting his foot in his mouth.

Harley has the attributes.
Given the amount of back pocket players that make it I'll say Milburn or Enright.
