It is a Saturday afternoon, no footy, so I ask you all "What was your favourite Rockin' Ronnie moment?
A couple of mine:
- His soccer style goal against the Roos in 1999, when Simon Arnett soccered it from the 'corner' and Ronnie soccered it in.
- His goal on the run (against the Ross a year later I think) when he was nearly directly in front and he went the banana.

In a Geelong side of 1998, 99 etc he was about the only bloke to give us some glory in those dark years. Kicked a few bags of 3-4 on occasions, although in a terrible windy day at K.P i think in 1998, he had a shot at goal from about 20 metres out......and virtually landed the ball in Apco!! One of the worst shots at goal of all time from dead in front, was on the full by a long way!!
Ronnie getting the ball and not having a freaking clue what to do with it. Seconds later he gets tackled HOLDING THE BALL. On his best he was brilliant. At his worst ****ing useless.

Lotsa good ones but one not many others will have seen was at Subi some years back in a WA - Allies State-of-Origin match on a Tuesday night. Ronnie (with the ball) and N Buckley in heavy WA traffic and a few twists and unbelievable dance-steps had all the WA players going one way when Ronnie fired out the hand pass to Buckley putting him in the clear. Sublime!!!!

Has to be anytime he handballed, it was the toss that never got picked up. Probably the quickest set of hands in that movement, the umps just got confused and said 'yeah sure that looks like a handball'.
I've got a GFC stubbie holder signed by lil' Ronnie. Came to my at-the-time girfriends school (she was a teacher), where Ronnie happily signed a GFC cooler.
He is a great guy, just if he had a little more urge in him, he could have been just about anything. Have some great Ronnie moments inbedded in my mind, his banana kick was fantastic too.

Thanks YOTC, It was typical of Ronnie to do just about anything off his left, to only do something so weird off his right.
He was a gem though, anyone that can do something like this, it is why we pay to walk through the gates.

I had a mate from school called John who was also a cats fan. Every time he did anything on the football field he would run round like Burns did there shouting out, "SOME MAGIC FROM JOHNNY!" Other teams thought he was a ********, but it was the funniest shit I'd ever seen. He was obsessed with Ronnie Burns.
I actually named my dog after Ronnie. True to form, the dog turned out to be a little s**t when it grew up. :p
Favourite Ronnie moments? Let me see.
The running goal from 50 against the Roos when he left Carey in his dust was awesome.
The centreing soccer to the top of the square against the Roos in 1999 when Arnott slammed it home like a soccer striker.
Ronnie on the Sunday Footy Show handball comp. when he struggled to hit the target with his non-preferred hand. :D
Actually remember his first practice match when he weaved around a few opponents and got off a perfect 50m pass to a teammate surrounded by 3 opponents at the top of the square.

My favourite was running into Ronnie having a quiet drink by himself at Redbacks Hotel after Geelong had been given a pumping by Carlton.
I was blind drunk, and went up to him and said "Bad luck about today Ronnie, you are a champ though"
He said "thanks Mate"
I decided to leave him alone so said "Better luck next wek Ronnie, you will tear 'em apart mate"
That week he was suspended for 4 weeks I think.
