Really impressed with Houlihan

ocassionally he was running for the sake of running but as the game went on he became much more effective, Realy started to run to dangerous spots and take them on. Needs a couple of years in the gym though but could be something, maybe a more attacking steven dodd.

Spangher was very very good in defence, definitely changing my opinion of him after today, ran the ball out of defence and was very scarlett esqe in the way he did it, also some very good marks.

mcnamara plays like Kane Cornes, big stats but no hurt factor at all and is an overall dodgy kick, definitely not upgrade at the end of this year.

Mitch Brown continues to play like crap in the lower level, very bad delivery didn't help.

Schoefield had a few very very nice runs up on the wing and I was generally impressed with him, first time I have seen him.

Great to hear that Spangher is coming on after various health problems. If the Eagles keep him and MacKenzie we may have our next generation of defenders sewn up !

Chad Jones by christ we could do with him in a pocket for the Coasters.

The question is weather he can go to the next level and perform like he is doing now in the WAFL.

Nice spot up; I totally, 100% agree.

....Went to Swan V South Freo today. Graham played FB and had a pretty good first quater where he ran the ball out several times and got a heap of touches and disposals. He didn't really have a lot do to in terms of actual defence (spoiling, tackling and the like) though.

Later in the game SF began to dominate and he didn't get much of a chance to do anything. Towards the end of the match however, he played loose in the backline and looked impressive, as he usually does in that role.

Overall I wouldn't be surprised if his stats aren't too huge but he did all that he could've in the circumstances.

Farmer kicked a lot of arse for Freo and Murphy was good too. Swans went down by a billion points.

I watched the Peel-Easts game and a few players were in action.

Brown was patchy but as said earlier the delivery into the forward line was woeful he also had 2 players on him most of the time. And went off with 10 min to go into 3rd quater and came back on with 5min to go in the last.

Schofield had a great game best game of the year so far few marks and great runs through the midfield.

Spangher was awesome took great over head marks.

McNamara his usual possesion but kicking was off today but still had a big influence on the game.

Few other but cant be bothered tonight

Pretty harsh, CHF's always struggle at WAFL.

His WAFL performances this year:
R1: 22 dis, 8marks, 3 goals.
R5: 8 dis, 3 marks, 1 goal.
R6: 24 dis, 7 marks.
R7: 20 dis, 8 marks.
R9: 14 dis, 4 marks, 2 goals.

I'll take those numbers considering he is an 18yr old CHF, playing in a struggling side, playing in the WAFL and playing with foreign teammates.

Was quiet this week but the delivery was pathetic and was given no space whatsoever. Peel seemed to have a focus on him.

Dont know why Mitch played for. Looked a bit proppy I thought plus it doesnt help with the ball flying over your head

Im loving Spangher atm. A certain keeper for next season. Just a great natural defender.

What can I say. Upgrade Cones NOW!!. IMO Thompson should be the sacrificial lamb. Needs surgery at the end of the year. Do it now and get it over and done with.

McKinley had his best performance all year with 4 goals too which is nice to see.

Spangher is getting over his injury problems then ? Great ! Now if McKinley can just live up to his potential we can claim to have a good return out of the 2005 draft (Hurn being our other draftee that year, and already a strong performer in the team !):thumbsu:

Yeah, Spangher is well above what I expected and I really think he could be a player.

Pace has definitely improved and would run a very high beep test

get his Strength up and he could play next year or possibly a couple of games this year.

More then his athletic capacity im impressed with his footy smarts. Remember this was his major weakness. But yesterday I could count about 4 or 5 times he did something and I thought damn that was pretty clever. That strapped shoulder is my only concern at this point

Ben McKinley also kicked 4 yesterday against a strong claremont defence. Good work benny.

Was virtually unsighted apart from those 4 goals though. It was 4.1 I believe so his accuracy went up which is a good sign. Still behind quite a few in the pecking order

I can see Spangher and McKinley being tempted to return home and ask to be traded to a club where they might have more opportunity to get a senior game. A bit like McConnell really.

Would be a shame as they do seem to be showing a bit of promise, but they are both a fair way down the pecking order for a spot in the side.

mcnamara played on the weekend with a small fracture in his lower back. wouldnt have noticed just by watching the game, im still glad we rookied this guy his courage cant be questioned. real team player, has good footy smarts...in saying that i still think his kicking needs working on but theres plenty of time for that

At any other club, Will Schofield's form would be rewarded with a game at the next level.

For a bloke his size to find that much of the ball, that often and use it as he does is phenomenal.

His past month has been outstanding. I get to a lot of the Peel games.

He, Rory Obrien and Buzan have been the standouts.

I didnt rate Houlihan, Sphanger was good in defence and looks to be a good sort.

I was pretty dissappointed with Brock, he had a solid patch for a month and now has slipped back into poor form.

Macnamara was wearing a brace. Very proppy at the Presentations.
