Thanx, that gives me a few to look at. I like the look of Quest apartments at Docklands. Seem a bit pricey tho. Like the idea of an apartment but probably don't really need all that much space with just two of us. We'll be out & about most of the day.

Try the Quest Apartments on Little Collins.

But Crown is by far the best in my opinion :thumbsu:

Had a quick look, looks good, thnx. I'm after a smoking balcony/non smoking room & it's verrrrrrry hard to tell from the websites whether they have what I want.

re Crown, I'm not sure I could afford that one! :(

Last time I went to Melbourne for a match (which coincidentally was also against the Roos) we stayed here, the Sebel Melbourne:

Great location, 10 min walk from everything you need, and great breakfasts.

Looks pretty good, but I'm after something with a balcony (not fussy am I??!!)

Hey, I'm heading across for round 21 vs StKilda, and also to see Hird's last home game for the bombers at the G, similar sort of question but anyone know a reasonably priced apartment building, there is 8 of us going so probably have to book 2 x 2 bedroom apartments.

Victoria Hotel is good (Little Collins St)

The other week for the worst game EVER Vs the scum I stayed at a place near the dome on Spencer St called "Batman Hill Appartments" or something like that - Its on the corner of Spencer and Collins - It was good.

Other than that I stay at my uncles out near St.Kilda (FOR FREEEEEEEE) :thumbsu:

Quest on William.

Semi-cheap. Right in the CBD. 5 mins walk from both Spencer St Station and that underground railway station (Fleetwood? I can never remember). 10 mins walk from Telstra Dome, ridiculously easy access to everywhere that counts in Melbourne.

I Travel to Melb quite alot for work - usualy stay at the Hyatt or Raddison (which are nice) but there's plenty of options.

One of the most practical I've stayed at is the Pacific International on Little Burke. They are basically apartments (with a kitchenette) but also have the fulls service option (room service etc). Huge rooms, good living areas - really nice.

Downsides - might be a bit pricey - also be careful - there are two Pacific Internationals, both on Little Burke - one has a restaraunt and is much more modern than the other (and is also closer to the dome - the older one is virtually in the Myer building).

Getting frustrated here.

Great apartments at 5 Star Docklands apartments. Website has it as available, even at a special rate. I book, receive a confirmation for booking, then get an email this morning saying I cannot have the apartments I have booked. Surely they can't do that? I have the booking ID#, confirmation THEY sent me. If this isn't rectified by this afternoon I will have to give them the nastiest phone call I can conjure.
