It is.
But so is our next game and game after.
The season is so close we can't afford to miss a beat.
It's even more important to win the games against teams in a similar position to us. We drop this we go drop back with the pack, we get up and we have a two game buffer on Port and Freo.
It's massive.

This is one of the first times I'll be surprised if we win and surprised if we lose. Got no feeling at all about this game.

will be a 3 game buffer on freo, but a 2 game buffer on port if we win.

I was just thinking i have the same feeling. Really hard to predict what could happen today. It could be anywhere from a ten goal win to them to a ten goal win to us.
Goals early will be vital.
Port have a lot of front runners in my opinion. Guys like Pearce and the Burgoynes will be ripping you apart if they open up an early gap but probably won't be around if we can kick the first few goals.
We've got to play a similar game to the one we played against Adelaide, that being open up a 3 goal gap early and answer the challenges when they come.

Danger? Essendon are not expected to win anyway. Bookies have Port favorite. Essendon have lost 8 of the last 9 against Port or something like that.
