Copped a week at the match review

Will he contest the charge or accept the 1 week?

should contest, cornes was turning which made hille hit him on the head rather than hitting him in the body.

thats what they should say, but we all know he was trying to kill him

Yes ya Damn Right! This is his biggest test so far he may play a only hand in the ruck against White if Ryder plays in defence. Would Sheeds pull a surprise and select Scott Gumbleton as a back up ruckman for Laycock???

Eagletons hit was far worse than Tarrants if youve seen the vision.

And as for Wilson, his hit was crude and totally behind play. Ridiculous that he gets off.

Kep will more than likely play against Melb IMO. He deserves it too, hes been killing them in the VFL.

If Hille doesn't play you will see his name in the line up and im all for him coming back as a foward/ruck.

Keps has been excellent at VFL level as a foward recently and deserves a call up for the work he has put in, hopefully he doesn't get named in the backline.

Well it going to be very hard for us to win against Melbourne now. He's one of our most important players!!!

IMO, Ryder will play in the ruck for a majority of the game anyway, he has the engine to go with Jeff White all day. Laycock might still be used as a backup against Paul Johnson, who Laycock should be able to account for. It will definitly be interesting in the ruck.

That is similar to what happened last time Hille was out wasn't it? And what was the outcome of the game?

I don't think he does have the engine to go with him.
Not at all.

The break will freshen him up, but he's looked very tired the last couple of weeks. What he's done thus far this season has been a big ask.

Can Ryder ruck for half the game? Serious question as we are next to no chance with Laycock and Bradley as the ruck combo.

I dont think we need a tall (bradely, Johns) replacment for Hille. Isn't Neits meant to be out for a few..?? this would free ryder up and we would not need him in the backline and could play ruck for the day.
If anything bring in a fast player for hille.

I actually wouldnt mind if Lucas was brought down back and Johns brought in to expose their fragile backline. the downside to that would be at the expense of bringing in some more fresh legs into the side for rotational purposes.

Any news on the club contesting the Hille suspension.
He can't get rubbed out for anymore than 1 even if they do contest it.
I really hope they did lodge it by 11am as there was nothing in it, even kept his arm tucked in.

Cheers

Well he will be bale to go with White better than Laycock, who is our other option, unless Bradley comes in and rucks, which I would hate to see, or maybe Bolton could ruck, which is stupid IMO.

He deserves it too, hes been killing them in the VFL.There must be a huge difference in standard between the VFL and the AFL is kepler is killing them. I agree with the Super Wog the only time i wanna hear of his name is during trade week. The same for Courtney Johns (the Sunday Herald-Sun said Brisbane could use him) lets trade the two of them for a couple of draft picks and maybe a back-up ruckman.:thumbsu:

Also keps has rarely been played in the right position when playing for Essendon.

Last year against Brisbane he was playd on the HFF and dominated with 4 goals.

Well if you dont gauge the form of players from the VFL, then what criteria do you use for elevations?

I'm all for giving Keps another run, but only in the fwd line. He is too indecisive in defence or when he needs to make a quick decision.

He takes an OK mark, so let's sit him inthe fwd pocket and bomb them in while he gets the 3rd or even 4th defender. He doesn't need to get all unstuck trying to work out where to kick it, just take the mark and go back and kick the ball.

How many times have we seen him piss around with the ball while trying to decide what to do and turn it over. We will soon know if he is going to be any good in the AFL or if he will copy Joel Reynolds and just be a good VFL player.
