There's been a bit of talk on here about Australia sending their 2nd XI to the Twenty20 WC. Now the PCB have announced Australia A are touring Pakistan at the same time

So what's of more value to those players - four dayers and one dayers against Pakistan A (with a senior one day tour of India to follow a week later) or Twenty20s against senior sides?
And is it more benefitial to Australia for Tait (just assume he's fit enough to do either tour) to play for us in Twenty20, or alongside Hilf and MJ in a couple of four day games in Pakistan?

20/20 World Cup so it be an Aussie Vs Aussie A final like in the 1993/94 one day series here in Australia.

Go the Aussies (or is that the Aussies, the underdogs) Aussies love supporting the underdogs :thumbsu:

I don't think our depth is as good though now, look at what happened in NZ when we sent some of the second stringers.

Everyone would just end up going for Australia A

Everyone would just end up going for Australia A

hence why Aus won't play Aus A again

the ACB at the time were upset that people were booing the Australian team

but it was good competition- who would you support? the green or the gold

Aus A would be good in the 20/20 world cup, i wonder how far they could go

Clearly the AusA is better for any fringe Test players.
20/20 should be treated as a joke, pick those who are only an ODI chance or needs a quick shot in the middle. And fill the rest up with any Australians who happen to backpacking in South Africa at the time.
