Rex Hunt on a leash

Rexy was put on a leash for last night's game - and it is the worst decision 3aw made.

The only reason people listen to their coverage are his over-the-top antics and singing both of which were very minimal last night.

For those that dont know, Craig Hutchinson has been axed, along with a few others and Rex told to turn it down a notch because 3aw are losing the ratings battle to Triple M and SEN.

Anyone else listen to the call of the game on 5aa/3aw?

Thank God - I was actually able to hear some COMMENTARY in the Sydney v Collingwood game rather than stupid sound effects and Rex going overboard.

I've stopped listening to games 3AW cover this year because of the carry-on that goes on...looks like I wasn't the only one.

Rex is the only reason I listen to 3aw, normally I'd listen to ABC.

Can't stand Rex. That over-the-top crap is way, way, way past its use-by date and it seems most listeners agree.

However, I do think it's pointless that he tries to tone it down though since it's apparent that the few listeners 3AW have left actually like the way he commentates (for whatever demented reason).
