 Bugger should have put that one on my list, Top Show.

Seems more like you are watching reality tv these days when i watch Frontline ,when you compare it to what TT & ACA have been up to last few years.

Not sure is I know about The Games, what was it about?

No repeat viewing (guess that could be debated re:the show format) but I have a truckload of Law & Order/SVU/CI episodes on my hard drive that I just flick on when I'm bored. Rarely watched them on FTA though.

The Food Lovers' Guide to Australia

Excellent, I watch it too. Not one of the usual suspects. The repeats always seem to appear unexpectedly when there's nothing else to watch (especially during daytime TV).

It just proves TT and ACA haven't really changed that much, which helps Frontline still retain it's appeal and why it still seems fresh and relevant, one of the main strengths of the show and not always a given with satire.

The Games was an excellent ABC satire of the late 90s which featured primarily John Clarke, Bryan Dawe and Gina Riley as key members of the Sydney Olympics organising committee. Very well done, very dry naturally as you'd expect from Clarke and Dawe but probably 2nd only to Frontline as far as Australian comedy from the 1990s goes. It's of its time now, only because of it's subject matter but is great to rewatch as it reminds you just how much shit was spun around the Olympics and what a big deal it was for the country at the time (or so we were constantly told). The first season is available on DVD, it ran for at least 2 seasons but I haven't seen anymore than the first available, try and track down a copy if you can, if you love Frontline you will enjoy The Games.

For the last couple of months we've constantly been quoting "The Late Show" at work.

And I don't mean the ghey Letterman one. I mean the best aussie sketch show ever.

Hey,Hey it's Saturday
You mean those highlights they show regularly? I wish they showed more stuff that wasn't from Red Faces - it'd be good to watch a full episode of it for nostalgia purposes.
