I heard that the Neighbours 6.30 timeslot is changing? My lady is a big fan and wants to know when it will be on now. Is this the whole "a change is coming, July 23rd" crap that Ch 10 are putting up?

No idea but why would they put that gay add on with flashbacks and gay music in the background just because they're changing timeslots?
Maybe it's finishing for good?

Neighbours will still be on at 6.30pm as of July 23.All it is is new cast members joining [Steve Bastoni,Nikki Coghill and a few more]

I think it has something to do with a new creative director or someone new at Neighbours, who will, as was said, change the set, with new people in the show...
But they already did this with 4 new characters coming into the show a while back, Fraser, Pepper, Rosy and the guy who left....the rich one.
Lets hope with the new arrivals some old junk get kicked out...

Neighbours isn't going to change timeslots. Doing so would be suicide.
They're just going to have a massive fire/murderer/alien invasion/whatever to kill off a bunch of people and bring in new ones.
Maybe they'll bring Breakers back to fill that time slot. :eek:

i did also hear that part of the neighbours revamp is to not have so many 'sensational storylines' - i guess this means pepper's kidnap and toadie being shot earlier this year and that sort of thing? supposedly they are going back to a more normal australian suburban way of life.

They had a one-nighter at Lassiters (actually I think was during the day) but Gail warned Oliver off Elle coz he reminds her of Paul. Carmella and Oliver have already broken up though. There's a new family moving into the Timmins house I think. Pretty sure that's what the ads are about.

Yeah the same one. After Paul has the brain tumour removed he loses his memory and thinks he's still in love with her. He asks Elle to call her but she keeps on avoiding bringing up the past to keep him 'nice'. He calls her on Elle's mobile when she leaves the room and she then comes to Erinsbrough.

Nearly as bad as that drama show 7 tried to bring out last year, cant remember the name but it only lasted for a few weeks.
I think Pepper gets killed off, I read in the paper today that nicky Whelen was leaving the show, disappointing as she is the best thing about the show.

It wasent bad, but it was hardly a BIG CHANGE from friday...dont mind the dad from the new family, but the daughter is weird (she will probably go out with Zeeke) and the mum just wastes space..

As for Neighbours. Yes, I watch it, when I'm home and I have nothing better to do. But man what a big fizzer. At least the quality of the actual film it's on is better. Doesn't look quite like a cheap, Grade 6 school production set anymore.

I didnt make a concious decision to watch "the new neighbours" to be honest I didnt realise it was changing, however it happened to be on and I watched it and it was a bit hard not to notice the change.

Yup. And watch out. Soon they're doing the whole "lovers who turn out to be brother and sister" storyline which they did a few years back too.
Basically they've changed the opening titles, the song, they film on high definition now, and some character changes. (ie. Pissing the bogans back to Colac or wherever, last week, is step one :D)

You need to remember that these changes are going to be more noticable in the future they aren't immediate, of course there are the few changes like music, characters and film, but as for story and other major changes they will come more subtley in the future.

Can someone with technical knowledge explain to me why the frame rate is slower now that it's recorded on film compared to before when it was filmed on videotape?
Is it something to do with analogue TV? Does it look like this if you have a digital signal?

There's still another few months of the old storylines to wind up before the 'New Neighbours' will be seen.
Less 'event television' (explosions, psychos, kidnappings etc) and a return to more family oriented stories.
Remains to be seen if the show actually improves with any of the changes implemented...

That whole truck/ bus crash scene was ridiculous. What about that slow mo shot of Ned and that other young guy when the explosion happened?! I don't know about any of you, but I laughed my ass off. In fact I had a good giggle during most of the whole episode. :)

They are such shoddy actors, Nedward was the worst, slow-mo did them no good as you could plainly see how fake their dives were.
Is it just me or does the camera quality or whatever it is remind you of Home and Away.
