Im only 19, and am looking at purchasing a house instead of wasting anymore money on my car. We have people from all over Melbourne on our Pie board, just wandering, where do you guys recon I should look into? Suburb thats reasonably priced for a younger potential home owner that will rise in the next few years?

Are you from Bundy, Jabso?

I'm from Viewbank, originally. :)

My answer would depend on whether you really want to live there or are looking for an investment. If an investment, there are some really cheap houses in the Frankston North area, with good reason because it's a bit of a hole. However in the next 5 years, a lot of new houses are going to be built there and the suburb is going to be developed A LOT. You'd be making good money, I have no doubt.

On the minus side, you'd probably struggle to live there.

Save your money, and look into margin lending.

Thats my advice for ya.

Oh, that and go see a financial planner.
