Needed to step up. Has always done so when Cox is out of the team. But this was a superb game from him. Hope this is a sign of things to come.

C. Jones was excellent kicking 3 goals on debut, LeCras, Seaby and Priddis were very good as well. Also good to see Embley playing well after injury and Wirrpanda get some touches. Selwood and Rosa were good as well.
Stuff it everyone but Armstrong and Braun were good.

Finally they played all 4 quarters, with quite a few important players missing!!:thumbsu: Good to see Fletcher and Kerr play a great game, also thought Seaby, the Jones brothers, LeCras and Priddis were excellent. Except for Glass (best fullback), the rest of the votes could have been any order. Now play like this for the rest of the year.
EDIT: Forgot Hunter was excellent too, geez its great having so many good players in a game

Glass 5
Fletcher 4
Cox 3
B Jones 2
Hunter 1
Commendations C Jones looked better with Mattner on him but forced Adelaide to worry about him.
Braun was injured he copped a fair knock and with that midfield he was only one of many ball magnets

Cant believe Seaby isn't getting more votes! What more do people want from him? He ran, chased and tackled like a midfielder, took marks, kicked goals, oh and worked hard in the ruck!
Fantastic to see Embers back. Good debut from Chad Jones and the backs were outstanding as usual.
My thoughts
5 - Cox - Killed us in the ruck, smashed us around the ground. Brilliant.
4 - Kerr - Did as he pleased. How easily does he break out of tackles?
3 - Glass - Another monster game. I thought he was lucky not to give away a few more free kicks, but absolutely dominated our F50.
2 - Waters - I love the way he plays. Tough, uncomprimising footy. The way it should be.
1 - Fletcher - 30 possesions, kicked a goal (maybe 2), and pretty much did as he pleased.
Well done guys, you well and truly OWN us.

You couldn't possibly give Seaby vote ahead of Cox. Sure, he kicked 3 goals, but Cox dominated the middle, and thats whats needed to even get it in the forward 50.

3. fletch - boy has still got it, great pressure and clearance work missed him last week definitely.
2. Waters - great game in defence and his efforts even from the ground were second to none.

I guess I didn't notice because we got raped out of the centre. Blame it on the midfielders.
And yes, he kicked 3 goals; 1/5th of our tally. I also dont rate any position- midfield, forwards, backs- in any particular order. All are needed to achieve a win. When an entire team works this well, all decisions, especially down towards the last vote are line ball.

Hugely underrated game by LeCras, he killed Johncock whose worth to Adelaide's gameplan shouldn't be underestimated.

5 - Glass - was just terrific all day. Stopping attack after attack. He is easily the best defender in the league.
4 - Kerr - was everywhere, nearing his best again.
3 - Cox - also getting back to his best. Was dominant.
2 - Fletcher - another back to his best. He used all of his 30 touches very well.
1 - Hunter - 29 disposals and 15 marks! He was awesome.
Unlucky for Chones on debut and Seaby was telling with his 3 goals. Oh and desperately unlucky was Embley who was terrific in his comeback game.
Cm Perfect
4 Jul 2007, 05:40
5. Cox - Ridiculously good, just killed it in the ruck and around the ground. He's impossible to match up on because no ruckman can keep up with him.
4. Kerr - Legend. Was the key player when the game was on the line. The word that comes to mind is ferocious.
3. Glass - Awesome in defence and handled the extra responsibility of the captaincy superbly. Take your time Juddy!
2. Waters - Monster game out of a back pocket.
1. Hunter - Killed Welsh and gave plenty of rebound.
