Now, one of the reasons I luv the Roosters is because we used to have the cheapest beer going in the SANFL.
I notice our prices have snuck up over the last few years and we're now paying $3.30 for a can of beer and $5.00 for a UDL.
Id be interested to note what the cost of beer is at other SANFL grounds these days.

BTW the one thing I like about Norwood Oval is the Coopers!
;)

They can p**s that Victorian beer off though.

$3.30 - sounds cheap to me. Be happy you don't live in Melbourne. A UDL costs $6.50 here; 425ml tap draught is $4.

BTW - a pie is $3.30, surely the biggest ripoff in sports catering.

Not that this is a SANFL venue but the club we watch the footy at up here in Darwin has stubbies at $3.30 and spirits at $4.....with a happy hour for the second half of afternoon games dropping the prices to $2 and $3........and free nibblies at half time......

I assume - with a sense of pity - that you aren't talking about the famous "Darwin stubbies" ? ;)

West End Draught cans are $3.50 at Glenelg - not too sure, I never bothered paying much notice to the price.

They were $3.50 each at Unley today. Lights were $3.

Stop it, you're making me home sick. Had an absolute gutful of Vic Beer. Love finding a pub with Tooheys New vice VB or Carlton. The truly 'gold nugget eureka!!' find is the pub with Old Man Coopers famous products on tap........thankyou Mr Cooper!

While we're talking about the SANFL, god I miss doubling up on the footy: Crows and Norwood in a weekend double. Nothing beats standing at the parade end terrace to remind me about the 'golden days' of footy, before the AFL sanitised the sh1t out of it.

I used to wrap them up in the cheer squad flags.

The price of beer is such a rip off at SANFL grounds, lucky I used to have extra beer money by walking in through the kids gate. :D

If $3.50 is a ripoff, what price should it be?

At AFLQ games, generally it ranges in the $2.50-$3.00 for a can. Spirits are usually $4, only some clubs selling UDLs for about $4. $5 for a UDL at a local footy match is a club ripping off its patrons.

You`ll also find that we never run out of beer at Roosterland,
unlike Norwood & Alberton, & if we do it`s all Quinny`s fault

Hey fella, if you miss the Cooper's, buy yourself a home brew set up and you can brew your own at a fraction of the price, less than $20 for nearly five dozen stubbies. You can do Cooper's stuff as well, you can buy it from the supermarket.

Been down that path a few times.......:D

It must be something with the water in Adelaide that makes Coopers on tap that little bit better.......we have a couple of pubs that have it on tap but just doesn't quite taste the same........I'll make up for it in September when I come back down to the cold....

Cheers.....:D

If Prospect Oval sold Coopers Pale on tap my life would be complete.
