Barry, just a suggestion, you don't have to do it if you want.
But how about a "form ladder", showing the results of the past five weeks?
I'll be posting a few extra things in this thread this week, so stay tuned. TDHFF is getting better by the week. Next year will be even better. We'll be welcoming at least two or three new coaches to replace dead teams, and these new coaches are experienced campaigners who play in the same type of competition. They have the two highest "fors" as well, so they know their stuff. You may know them as BW and Amos from BigFooty.
I won my fifth game in a row to sneak into the eight for the first time all year in the other competition I'm in where I get my scores for this game from. From second last to eighth in in five weeks. Sounds like those Whitten Warriors (that's why I think it will be cool to see a form ladder).
HIGHEST TEAM SCORES - SEASON

Akermania 1562 (Rd 3)

THE RUN HOME
The Doogies
Current position: 15th
These Doogies, formerly coached by Rocco Jones, then replaced by Aker39 who appears to be dead, will be replaced next year by an experience coach, Blueworms (or simply BW).
Apart from Brad Johnson, The Doogies list is complete poo. Johnson should be the only Group A player retained, and rightly so.
Its run home consists of games against Anfield and The Dream Team.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 12
Likely WIN/LOSS record 3-12

Peter Rohde/Our Mastermind
Current position: 7th
Bulldogtragic's PROM has had a rollercoaster season. They have a decent team and probably deserve to be there come finals time. Pavlich, Kirk, Edwards, S. Black, Enright, P. Burgoyne and possibly N. Jones are all worthy Group A carry-overs, but which way Bulldogtragic decides to go is totally up to him. Personally, the three I'd go with are Pavlich, Kirk and Black. Delicious carry-overs.
Its run home consists of games against Brothers AFC and Red, White & Blue Army. One winnable game and another game against the league leaders, still not without a chance. A difficult run home compared to most teams.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 27
Likely WIN/LOSS record 7-8

Aquadogs
Current position: 11th
It is very unlikely that Aquadogs will make the finals. They have to win both remaining games but comfortable margins and rely on teams above them losing.
They could consider themselves somewhat lucky, having the league's lowest against score, so those five wins suddenly look like a good effort for Aquamarine. They do have some beauty players to carry over from Group A, most likely to be Judd, Power and Lucas, but the likes of Fraser and Hunter will come under some consideration.
They actually have a good team, but can't seem to get their players on the field at the same time. Fevola misses this week, possibly Judd to miss his third game in a row, Luke Power had missed games, as have Gehrig and Neitz.
An extremely tough run home here. Red, White & Blue Army, followed by the Selhurst Studs. Very ouch.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 28
Likely WIN/LOSS record 5-11
_____________________________
Whittens Warriors
Current position: 10th
In a very similar position to Aquadogs, but with a slightly easier run home.
The Bulldogs Bite has decent players and will have decent Group A carry overs. I'd probably go with Carrazzo, Cooney and Shaun Burgoyne. He might decide to go with a player like Jonathan Brown, the injury prone and inconsistent player he appears to be this season.
The Dream Team and BigFooty Bulldogs are its final two opponents, and I reckon they should get two wins here, which will make the race for eighth extremely interesting.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 11
Likely WIN/LOSS record 7-8

That's what I thought.

Please be back this week Jimmy.
Another couple on the trot and finals are definitely in the equation.
Doggie Style
Current position: 8th
Aker39's Doggie Style are four points plus percentage clear in eighth. One win out of two will surely be enough to make the finals, and two losses could still land them a finals spot if results go their way.
I don't rate this team that highly at all. Goodwin is a top selection, and Gary Ablett is turning into a Fantasy Footy King. Apart from that, there's not much else chop. Nathan Foley looks like he will be a gun player, so it wouldn't be such a bad move if he were to be carried over next season, while Watson and Sam Fisher have shown they can turn it on when they want to. If I were Aker39, I'd carry over Ablett and Foley from Group A and receive a priority selection. Goodwin is currently ranked 113th, so that lands him as a Group B. If he only plays one of the remaining two games, he will continue to be in Group B, so he will be a very hand Group B carry over.
As for their run home, BigFooty Bulldogs in 14th and Akermania in 2nd. Probably 95% sure that this will return a 1-1 record, which means a spot in the eight beckons.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 18
Likely WIN/LOSS record 8-7

The Thirsty Dog
Current position: 16th
Borgy's Dogs are extra thirtsy this week after its first win of the season coming in round thirteen. To be honest, I don't think they are the worst team. They are the second worst team as the "for" ladder represents.
Borgy is set for a huge season next year if his drafting improves, which should be the case after he will be a second-year coach, compared to Gridlocked and X_box_X who have been playing this for much longer. He has the gun ruckman of the competition, a Fantasy Footy King, Dean Cox. Nick Malceski is the only other Group A player I would carry over, so that will mean another priority selection for Borgy on top of the priority selection he receives for winning fewer than 3.5 games.
Nick Stevens and Nathan G Brown will be Group D (maybe C for Brown) carry-overs. That is extra delicious.
In the run home Borgy faces the Studs and The Red Cross, an average run home.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 17
Likely WIN/LOSS record 1-14

Localyokel's team will be replaced next season, and the dude who takes over will have solid players to work with.
Joel Corey and Matthew Boyd are the only players I would personally carry over from Group A, but fancy being able to carry Goodes over in Group B and Licuria in Group C. Sandilands will have to miss one of the final two games to be in Group B. Joel Selwood in probably Group C is nice as well.
Their run home is against Doggie Style and Whittens Warriors, two losses.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 16
Likely WIN/LOSS record 3-12

The Coon Dog has a good team, I can't understand why it is sucking. Nick Riewoldt is currently fifty points behind Group A, so it's pretty much line-ball if he will make it as a Group B carry-over. If he does make it to Group A, I'd definitely carry him over, along with Chapman and White. If Riewoldt qualifies as a Group B carry-over, then you'd go either Stenglein or O'Keefe. I'm a big Stenglein fan, so I wouldn't hesistate carrying him over.
Their run home is against The Doogies and and The Dog House. A pretty simple 1-1 equation really.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 16
Likely WIN/LOSS record 5-10
Sorry for the mistakes, people. I had the Whittens Warriors run home incorrect. I have adjusted it, and they actually have a sensational run home.

The third of three teams on five wins, westy07 can basically start planning for 2008. They need to win both remaining games comfortably, and rely on other results going their way.
Selecting Barry Hall with his first selection was wrong by westy07. Selecting Barry Hall is a TDHFF crime. Even when he is in good form, his scores aren't that great because he is credited with too many errors. Luke Ball's early selection didn't pay off, but Jimmy Bartel was a golden selection. I was going to take Bartel until Westy07 took him with the selection before mine in the third round, so I proceeded to take Santo.
So for next year's carry overs? They are sexual, and perhaps his carry overs will be in the top four pre-draft next year. Bartel and Lewis are locked in, and I'm guessing Giansiracusa would be the third one carried over. He is worth carrying over. Despite being up and down this season, Giansiracusa should finish in the top fifty overall.
Luke Ball is currently 44 points behind 104th placed Des Headland, so if he doesn't have a round fourteen and/or fifteen, then he should remain in Group B, and I'm tipping Ball will produce the goods next year.
Andrew Embley is a shoe in for Group C, Barry Hall group B, Steve Johnson probably Group B or C, Byron Schammer Group D, and also probably Kennelly in Group B or C. Absolutely sexual.
Westy07's run home is against The Dog House and The Thirsty Dog. A shoe in to go 1-1, I reckon.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 15
Likely WIN/LOSS record 6-9

Red, White & Blue Army
Current position: 1st
What is there to say about the great man who runs this sensational competition? His team has clearly been the best team since round seven having won the last seven games to head the ladder.
Red, White & Blue Army has a smorgas board of delicious Group A candidates to be carried over. The three that I will probably go for are Sam Mitchell, Dane Swan and Brent Stanton.
Nigel Lappin is 67 points behind Des Headland in Group B. God, I hope he remains in group B. The way he is scoring, he could end up in Group A. Lenny Hayes is a further sixteen points behind Lappin, so he is another likely Group B carryover. The thing is, I'd take Lenny Hayes over Stanton if Hayes becomes a Group A player, that's how much I rate him.
Brock McLean as a Group C carry-over too, folks. That's what I like to see. Those six players (Mitchell, Swan, Hayes, Stanton, Lappin and McLean) are all A grade top choice meat, and I will have other good carry over players too like possibly Jason Gram or Michael Doughty, Brett Peake, Tim Clarke and Sam Butler.
The run home for the best team in the TDHFF is against Aquadogs and Peter Rohde/Our Mastermind. It should give us two wins to finish off the regular season.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 16
Likely WIN/LOSS record 13-2

Safeway United
Current position: 4th
Westdog54 was on top two weeks ago. Entering round fourteen on a two games losing streak, Safeway United will be looking to capture some form heading into the finals.
Some very decent Group A players for next year to come under consideration to be carried over, but the three I'd personally go with are Heath Scotland, Daniel Kerr and Tarkyn Lockyer. OK, so Scott Burns is ranked 10th overall, but he is an ageing warrior. Believe me, I rate Burns extremely highly too. The most underrated player of the past decade if you ask me. He wouldn't be such a bad carry-over, but I'd rather go for the younger Kerr. McLeod is certainly another option, but again he doesn't have age on his side.
Matthew Lloyd will be a Group B carry over, Robert Murphy a Group C carry over. Alwyn Davey Group B, Ladson Group B, Adem Yze Group C. Bacha Houli possibly Group D. There are some nice names there, and with a good draft, Safeway United will again be a top team in 2008.
Its run home is against Akermania and Brothers AFC. That is an extremely tough schedule. To be honest, this could return 0 wins, it could return 2. I'll play it safe and go with one win.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 26
Likely WIN/LOSS record 10-5

The Dog House
Current position: 3rd
Another top team thanks to some excellent drafting by Macca. The only non-Bulldogs supporter, and one of two Elite Dream Team League members, Macca showed off his fantasy footy knowledge by drafting point-scoring guns such as Cameron Bruce, Chad Cornes, Adam Simpson, Scott Thompson, Brad Green, Josh Carr, Darren Milburn and the impressive Cheynee Stiller. If I could sledge Macca, I would say Tredrea was taken far too early.
His Group A carry overs should obviously be Bruce and Chad Cornes, that's a given. The third player might be a little tough. Simpson is like Scott Burns, a gun scorer, but an ageing warrior who has scored six points less than Burns, but you would have to go with Scott Thompson, ranked 30th overall, but would probably be top 20 if it weren't for "errors" being worth negative five points.
I would rate Bruce, Cornes and Thompson as the second best list of Group A carryovers, and good on Macca for great drafting.
In the run home The Dog House face The Red Cross and Anfield, and should comfortably net two wins there.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 9
Likely WIN/LOSS record 12-3
Whoever is playing me this week would want to watch out. Finally will i be able to field a full team!
Wood and a few others may be out who are named on the extended bench but look at these ins. Burton, Hislop, Whyman, Dyson, Roe, Jacobs.
EAT YOUR HEART OUT !!!
2 wins in a row here i come, the start of my charge to the finals. HERE, HERE.

The Dream Team
Current position: 9th
Doggies05's side has had its fair share of bad luck this season. Not only have opposition teams scored higher against The Dream Team than any other team, but injuries to the likes of Daniel Cross, Nathan Buckley, Brendon Goddard, Mark Williams and Richards Vandenberg has ruined any chance of a premiership crack.
If I were Doggies05, I would carry over Daniel Cross and James McDonald, and then receive a Group A priority pick.
In the run home they face Whittens Warriors and The Doogies. Likely to go one and one here.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 9
Likely WIN/LOSS record 7-8

Palace03 will lead his team into finals without a game from Ben Cousins all year. Mark Ricciuto and Chad Fletcher have also played minimal games between them. Now Travis Johnstone looks like missing a few.
Don't fear, though, because Dustin Fletcher has been the man this year. An out and out gun, but I'm not sure if I'd carry him over yet. I'd personally reassess this decision after the season, but most likely I would carry him over if I were coach of this team.
Luke Hodge and Paul Hasleby would be two handy carry overs as well.
I like this team, but it won't go far beyond a Semi Final this year. In the run home it has The Thirsty Dog and Aquadogs, should be two wins.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 7
Likely WIN/LOSS record 11-4

Gridlocked better get used to finishing second, because Xie's team is better. In fact, I reckon The Dog House could almost argue their side is even better. It is close, but I would just disagree.
Gridlocked has a sexual least of Group A carryovers. I'd go with Kane Cornes, Scott West and Heath Shaw, but I would be very sad saying good bye to Cameron Ling, Scott Pendlebury, and Leigh Montagna.
Akermania welcomed back Troy Simmonds last week, he will be critical in their search for premiership glory. He, by the way, should be a Group C carry over next season, yum! Wells, Reilly and maybe Salopek will all be carried over in lower Groups, so Akermania looks set to go hard again next season.
In the run home they face Safeway United and Doggie Style. Quite difficult, but Akermania can handle it.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 22

Brothers, sisters, I give you stmookeyj. The only team in the eight with a negative percentage, but it only needs one win to be assured of a finals position, and possibly even two losses may still get them in the eight.
Their side is a pretty good one, I must say. Defensive fifty Kings, Joel Bowden and Lindsay Gilbee, combined with young star Matthew Priddis, are three impressive carry overs for next year. It will be a blessing to some cellar dwellers to see the names of Shane Crawford and Jess Sinclair back in the draft.
In the run home, Brothers AFC takes on Peter Rohde/Our Mastermind, followed by Safeway United.
Difficulty of RUN HOME 22

Thanks for doing the reviews Xie. :)
After tonights game (Essendon vs Geelong) my Aquadogs are further depleted....
Hird - hammy
McVeigh - possible suspension.
Will be a very interesting run home, but clearly Akermania and Red White & Blue army are head and shoulders above the rest of the comp. Anyone outside those 2 will need an awful lotta luck just to reach the GF IMO.

Great work, Xie.
It's a great thing you've got going here.
With a bit more experience, next year's competition should be even closer.
Keep it up, and lets hope those Warriors can hit a streak ;)
