I see his been dropped the last couple of weeks do you think theres any chance we might be able to put a sneaky little trade on the table to get him to hawthorn.

Depends what your offering. Would still be highly rated down at the club, is just a young player that needs to get his hands on the ball a bit and find a bit of form.

This would be like Sheeds giving his own child up for adoption.

And fair go, Angus is only 20.

Angus needs to make the transition from a small forward into a midfielder

He needs 2-3 weeks of 30 + touches in the twos. He does have the ability.

Yes - perhaps you could give us someone you want to delist.

What is a sneaky trade? Why would we want to turf a guy who has just been dropped when he has played 2 seasons a a kid - which shows we have belief in him?

??????????????

If monfries is going to go anywhere it would be south australia
give the kid a fair go
yes he has had a bad year but look at last year
he was outstanding last year down forward with lucas.
As i said in a previous post. I rate monfries as the 2nd most courageous in the comp behind Archer

Where did he play last week in the 2's?

Monfies must start playing in the mid-field. He isn't really that good in the forward pocket, because our mid-fielders are always trying to pass it to Lloyd and Lucas. The same thing was happening with Houli

Exactly. That's why he should be left in BB side to develop for as long as is needed. I would like to see him play for Bendigo as much as possible in the midfield unless some injuries start occurying in the senior midfield, that way next year when after a good pre-season to bulk up some more we can chuck him in the midfield and he'll be ready to go. I reckon he'll have some good form in the VFL and start pushing for selection towards the end of the season.

He needs to crash the door down to get in the senior midfield. Consistent 30+ possession games will do it.

I am a sturt supporter in the SANFL and got down to see him play some senior games before he was drafted. He was very young and didn't have the body of the other guys but he sure knew how to find the ball playing (bit of a magnet) across the center line. I wouldn't be looking at a trade unless it was substantial for essendon as I believed then and still do he will be a very handy afl player.

He's all Class however he needs to develop his game in a different way to slot into the midfield.
So far this year he's been a little bit straight up and down. Needs to learn how to create space for himself through developing a side step (doesn't have one) and faking a few handballs... He plays a bit like a bigman at the moment.

personally i think he is a gun... and he should go anytime soon.... he is just like everyone else.... he has lost a bit of form... and has to get back in the thick of things...... everyone has had a form drop... but most footballers come good..

i say play him in the 2's for atleast a month til he finds some form again ... then try again in the seniors
