Who would you want out there if the finals started next week? The finals panel contains 12 umpires .... who would you take?
1. Vozzo
2. Allen
3. Margetts
4. McInerney
5. Kennedy
6. Rosebury
7. Jeffery
8. Goldspink
9. McBurney
10. Ellis
11. Stevic
12. Last spot goes to either K. Nicholls, Chamberlain or Ryan.

margetts won't get a final
Rosebury won't get a final
S Ryan won't get a final.
Those three that I have mentioned have all had poor years.
I doubt James will get a final ... he hasn't done enough consistent games to make it and he was injured last week and properly will be out for a few weeks.
Rosebury has had a fantastic year .... why do you think they keep on giving him the good games?
West Coast V Hawthorn, Sydney V Fremantle, Collingwood V Hawthorn - he has had a place in all of those games. I'm sure others games as well but they are all I can mention from the top of my head.
I'm not sure about Ryan thats why I put him on the maybe with the other three. He hasn't had the best of years but still had been good enough to be in contention.
I doubt Donlon will get a final though .... he is a bit inconsistent and pays some funny ones sometimes. Plus hes still developing, I have no doubt he will umpire a GF though one day.
I all ready know your opinions on Margetts so I won't go there.

He's emergency this week. He did his calf but was walking around fine over the weekend. Will be back in round 16.
Fantastic .... I'm not doubting that he is a great umpire, he is great - properly the best when hes at his best. Where do you get the appointments from? I have to wait till Thursday night until they put them up on the The Age footy website, would love to know what they are this early in the week.

Are our umpiring stocks really that low, that Kennedy and Goldy can't get in the best 12. Kennedy and Vozzo would get my vote for final.

mclaren will get a final, but i doubt it will be much later than a semi

I doubt he will. McLaren has had a worst year this year then he did last year and he didn't even make the finals then.

And so far this year Dean Margetts has umpired every game this year and has umpired 4 FNF so how can he be having a bad year???

Woodock is a possibility ... although he did miss the first 11 rounds so I doubt he will get a spot.
