He has been a revelation this year for the Hawks. Not only has he kept his opponents quiet, he has outstanding skills and appplies pressure to opponents. He layed 8 tackles on the weekend, a great indicator of the pressure he applies and how hard he works.

Please post comments and thoughts.

P.S. Does anybody have a list of games this year of who he has played on, and how many goals they havekicked etc? Much appreciated.

he has also has shown effective disposals under pressure as well

about the goals kicked on him, i think after the first 5 rounds he may have been leading/ up there with the comp, something like 4-6 goals, similar to that of rutten...

... will keep looking

He has been great but I think also we have been a lot better all over the park which has a knock on effect for defence.

Trying not to take anything away from the guy but our midfield and defensive pressure in the forward line has helped a lot as well.

For a guy that hasn't played a lot of footy at AFL level, he is extremely calm and assured. I am super impressed with his disposal and decision making. (Most of the time....) Well done Stevie G!

And great stuff by Clarko! He mustve seen alot in this young unproven man when deciding to bring him to the club, I am sure he would of had a few people to convince in bringing him over and its now paying off.

On the back of my new hawks guernsey is 27, with GILHAM just above it so people dont mistake it for Barker. :D:D

Gilham has been fantastic, for a bloke who only played 1 game for port adelaide he has really kicked on.

I really rate him as a player, and he would have to be in the top 5 for the B/F this year.

He has been awesome this season. We are in the great position that a lot of younger players have risen to the challenge and are playing disciplined, confident and intelligent footy. What impresses me with Stevie is that he has an uncanny knock of threading his arm through for a punch from behind.:thumbsu:

Thanks for the post Go_The _Coon. Glad to see other club's supporters posting about our young guns.

Is he big enough to hold down a KP or is he really a third tall in the back pocket?
