another long drive YAY
only for the B grade clubs, hopefully Marby will be in A grade in 2008.
Great news if true, I can see alot of local boys heading back to the club if this becomes a reality. They would treat B grade as a training and preperation year for A grade, wouldnt lose a game.
Great for the EDFL, the crowds they would pull down at Clarke oval would be huge, most EDFL clubs wouldnt know who to do with them selves on that ground.
Hope this is all true.

has this been verified as yet?is your source from sunbury or edfl?
Can't see this happening. The EDFL won't allow a bye in B Grade.
I have heard from a very realible source that Sunbury have agreed to play B grade and there juniors have too. can anyone verify that. believe there was a meeting between the EDFL Executive and the Sunbury Board on Saturday morning. Word is that Sunbury needs to have at least a 75% majaority from the junior club for it to move. The senior part of the club are more than ready to make the move. :thumbsu:

They have been a powerhouse club for many years in both the bfl and rdfl. Maybe they should bring them straight into A grade along with B grade premiers(most likely marby) and have a 12 team comp 22 rounds final 5 finishing with the granny the day after the afl (similiar to the gvfl). strathmore greenvale marby sunbury all spending over 200 k and keilor not far off would surely improve the standard of the comp

with that kind of money being spent, why worry about a home and away season? just go straight into a final 4! Before we start worrying about Sunbury we need to start worrying about the inequality of the competition. We need to look at a points based salary cap.

i think your grossly misinformed about the money greenvale is spending this year. there is no doubt greenvale is spending a lot of money this year. but greenvale is is not spending anywhere near as much as strathmore is. and once hille leaves strathmore it will all equal out again and strathmore will drop back where they belong down the bottom.
Judging by the standard of the A grade games I have seen recently Sunbury would dominate the competition. Gee some of the edfl supporters wouldnt even see the game at clarke oval they would be too busy pumping money into the pokies!

I also have heard that St Albans are trying to apply for an EDFL permit.
If St Albans are granted a permit. Watch Out !!!
With there set up, and Cash flow, it would not take them long to be a dominant force in the competition.
St Albans only sturggle to get players because of the league they are in and players don't like playing in the WRFL, but once people hear they are playing in the EDFL it wont take them long to be a dominant force.
Money is no object for that club.

Hey Swannie,
Try not to look to much into St Albans form over the past couple of season mate. Ever since Ezard has left the club, they as a club have advanced no where and in fact before this year have gone backwards. Pagan was coaching there and was disliked by 90% of the team and committee. So he had an uphill battle from day 1.
They are currently fielding a team of young players who are not matured enough to play senior football but are slowley taking the next step. St Albans has and have always had great kids coming through there system who have become great A Grade players.
They have not spent a dime this year on any of there players. They have got Steven Kolyniuk as there Coach now who is a former Junior of the Club and past Premiership player.
He will attract most of the local boys back to the club, and bring accross some big signings.
So from Next year onwards St Albans will be back to there best. There are already players who have contact him wanting to play there next year in 08 !!! So please don't make yourself look silly and try and judge them on there past couple of seasons. As that is easy to do.
Believe me there are big things to come out of Kings Park Reserve.

where are your facts on this? strathmore dont spend 200k infact its quite a bit less than that. greenvale, marby and doutta stars are the three to crack the 200k mark.

Have it on good authority that Keilor pay less than $90K.
