The BIGFOOTY Magpies played their first game last night.
We are playing the last 4 games of this season which will be used as practise runs which will set us in good stead for next season which starts in august.
ROYAL SAMPLYER : Played some good footy, started slow but picked up as the game wore on. Cutting off some passages of play in defence, reminds me of JAMES CLEMENT.
Pie Lebo: Little in and under player, i like his style ran all night and put in a solid effort.
Stakerz: Looking forward to seeing you next week.
FadeAway: I kicked 4.2 but ill someone else asses my performance.
We lost 61-120. We where 1 man down in the first half only kicking 2 goals, but the 2nd half when we got another man we kicked 8 goals. We will get better
GO BIGFOOTY MAGGPIES!!!:thumbsu:

Apologies for my terrible performance. Other then 2 goals in the 3rd, I had a shyte game. Really lacking match fitness and disposal let me down, hopefully I can get some fitness up and I adjust to the different sized footy and you'll see some better performances.
As for Captain FadyAway;
Started out at full-forward for the 1st half. Presented all over the forward half very well and consistently, more like a CHF. Wasn't fed with enough proper disposals to get much but still managed a few marks and shots at goal. Had a run in the middle for the 3rd and did a pretty good job, plenty of running. 4.2 says it all. We only managed about 8-9 or so goals. Strong performance for a team with one man down.
We will definitely be improving next match, and with more time to jel and fitness improving, we will become more effective.

Let's hope for a good season :thumbsu:

BIGFOOTY MAGGIES FOR THE FLAG!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I honestly think we will go close!
I'm so pumped for it, I was a good footy player untill I gave it up and when I was playing indoor footy I was one of the best players every week.
It seems as though we have a great backmen in The Sampler, I will get back to help him as much as I can, I think we all should actually. Just to fill in the holes.
El' Capo has been kicking goals whilst being in the middle, I think? :p
I can kick goals, but I would rather do it from the Middle.
We will have a bench, which is great.
I reckon we will all have leadership skills in a few weeks as yas get more into the game and the rules.
I wanna play tonight!!! :(

The Sampler needs to work on his fitness. I must admit I didn't realise the "ground" was that big. I felt like Ricky Petterd after about a quarter, mind you I've had the flu for about a month. :o It was exactly what I need to improve my running capacity though.
I'll come good though, I feel better having a game under my belt and adjusting to the rules. By the time the new season comes around, watch out!
By the way, I didn't realise PieLobo87 played, I feel very rude! See you guys in two weeks. :)

It was hard to know when to run off the forward, and when to stick a couple of metres in front of him. Most of their goals were kicked by mids from 30 m out, so I'm thinking next time I might have to commit earlier to running off the FF in that situation.

But honestly I would just stick on the FF because if you're going to run off him they will just kick it to the FF.
It will be up to the Mids to man-up :thumbsu:

Yeah, but being a man down that was happening a lot. We'll be better next time around, and with two weeks to our next game I'm hoping to be healthier, and hence have a chance to do some more running in preparation. :thumbsu:
It's going to be really good fun, I love kicking the footy around. It'll also help when I learn everyone's names properly so I can call out when running past, and also maybe direct traffic a bit from FB on occasion ;)

With someone on the bench we can rotate fresh legs either through the middle of the field or in defence. Either way, we will be much better off than Tuesday night!!!
