Before my football or water polo games, particularly big important games, I like to listent to songs, to get me in the mood, pumped up and in the zone.

For me this song is Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes. Oh I love this song, fires me up everytime.

What song is it for you?

"Dance" music with a bit heavier beat is good, gets the body going. "Destination Unknown" by Alex Gaudino is a good one, not too heavy but just enough to get the body moving.

It depends on person to person obviously. I usually need something energetic, thus I listen to more dance type of music. The "normal" songs bore me a bit.

"Anthem for the year 2000" by Silverchair is something I like, though. I like the heavy beats prior to a game.

I think I read somewhere that Murphy's favourite song, or might have been band, was The Verve. The song was "Lucky Man".

That was going back 2 or 3 years ago now though, I think.

Listening to Paul Kelly's 'Leaps and Bounds' before any trip to the MCG always gets me in the mood.

Destination Unknown ROCKS!!! Crystal Waters 100% pure love was a hit. Now Alex Guadino has remixed this greatly. Can't wait to see him play this @ Godskitchen Oct 07.
