Hi guys i don't normally post on other teams boards but i couldn't help myself this time around. I'm a junior football coach, i coach an under 14's team in the western region football league and last night we had training. So out from the car park come Ryan Griffen Dylan Addison and Michael West (West on crutches) now i only had a slight notion they we're coming nothing was 100% but i was pleasantly surprised. Now the condition of our ground as is the case with a majority of WRFL grounds during a wettish season isn't exactly great it was a little muddy and a bit of water was on the surface but these guys didn't bat an eyelid and walked straight out onto the ground without a worry. Then they came over introduced themselves and got the kids goin with some stretches and skill drills and what not and the usual deal with training but they did it with such professionalism and enthusiasm that you couldn't help but be impressed. For these guys two of whom are injured and one on crutches to take time out of rehabbing and other AFL commitments to come down to a little club in Werribee was amazing and i was so appreciative and grateful for they're time and effort. I think all Bulldogs supporters would feel proud of these kind's of actions especially when in the past few weeks and months players from AFL clubs mine included have only been shown doing negative things....it's just good i feel and the right thing to do to put the positives that these guys do out there to counteract any negatives. So a big thanks to the Western Bulldogs Football Club, Ryan Griffen, Dylan Addison and Michael West all top blokes. And thanks for allowing this to be posted!

Thanks for the positive feedback.

We are very lucky that young players such as these have obviously learnt a lot from being around champion players/people such as Brad Johnson, Scott West, Rohan Smith and Chris Grant.

Thanks for that, it's always good to hear positive stuff about our players.

I helped out at a Pedigree Pups session last week and Michael West and Josh Hill were there, they were both really good with the kids.

Thanks the_jib for passing on your story. Very nice to hear. A lot of the positive things AFL players do goes unheralded.

Id also like to be positive BUT im also a coach in the rdfl, and were suppose to have players attend our training/pienight to witch no one showed. For me its not so dissapointing but to see the look on the childrens face when they were told they are not attending was not so good.So thanks for posting your positives but on the otherside of the coin we are very dissapointed. I hav'nt heard as to why they did'nt,but we are waiting.

Sorry to say they were. But not sure who was going to turn up.Hopefully there was a good reason.

Both Jordan McMahon & Will Minson turned up at Braybrook's Under 11 training last night.
