I have been hearing about Ford possibly axing 600 jobs in Geelong. How many staff do they employ altogether in Geelong, and does this mean the club sponsorship is in jeopardy?

They employ 1500 at the moment so there will still be a sizable workforce left even if the worst happens. By itself, this change is unlikely to have any affect on sponsorship.

As long as Ford has a sizable workforce in Geelong, they'll be sponsoring the Cats.

If they axe the jobs, we might lose many Cat fans. The ones who work there and get axed may not find another job in time for next year's membership drive...

Ford has downsized in Geelong before - they would probably only stop sponsorship if they got out of Geelong completely.

I dont think Ford will stop sponsoring, however if they do im sure we could find another sponsor
