My dad told me yesterday that Scott West replaced Cam Wright on the emergencies list for tonights game and may come in as a late replacement.

Any further news?

West set to line up (http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,22071042%255E19775,00.html)

SCOTT West has been named as an emergency for tonight's clash against Essendon at Telstra Dome, despite carrying a groin injury all week.

The Western Bulldogs champ, the engine of his side's midfield for 15 years, was expected to miss a game for the first time since late in the 2002 season.
But West was a late addition last night to replace Cameron Wight.
With West likely to spend time on the bench, Daniel Giansiracusa said the side had to lift if it was to move clear of the eighth-placed Bombers, given both teams sit on 8-6 win-loss records.
"It definitely means that the workload is going to lift for a lot of guys," Giansiracusa said yesterday.
"We're confident the 22 players that we put out on the ground will be committed and will have a good showing and get a win on the board."
Giansiracusa said the Dogs were expecting a tough contest, despite the Bombers being depleted by injury.
"We're under no illusions. Just because they've got a few players out doesn't mean it's going to be any easier or anything like that," he said.
"We know they are a good footy side. They are on the same amount of wins as us and standing in our way of where we want to go."
Giansiracusa said it was up to the midfield to help make defender Brian Harris's job easier.
"We back our fullback Brian Harris in. He's having a terrific year and he'll probably have the first crack on Lloydy," Giansiracusa said.

Surely we can't risk him this week and possible then be out for the next 3 important games?

He's not playing.

Has been taken off the emergency list and replaced with Cameron Wight this morning according to Anthony Hudson.
