Has kicked 5 and 3 in the last two weeks in the VFL. Surely due for a game.

This weeks desired change: Blake-OUT, Watts-IN

Yea, righto....
Out: Thompson In: Ferguson
Blake is having a good season, 16 disposals and 0 errors on Friday, what has he done to get dropped?

Yeah, 'cause we really lack tall forwards.

Andrew Thompson will be the one getting dropped.....when i saw the saints singing the club song he didn't look to happy (compared to everyone else) Not much game time for thompson. I always thought at 34 it was a risk to keep him.

Jason Blake will stay in the team purely because he can play a few different roles.

I don't agree either, but I didn't feel the need to resort to personal abuse!

It seems like a few people on this forum would find this change acceptable

Out: Blake
In: ANY OTHER PERSON IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!

I agree Watts has been doing well, and I would love to see him get a game, but Ross Lyon and the match committee have decided only to play Riewoldt & Gehrig as specialist tall forwards, with either Gilbert, Blake, Voss or a resting Koschitzke pinch hitting down there. It would seem to me that the only way Watts will come in at the moment is at the expense of Gehrig or Riewoldt. Both were very good on Friday night.

I reckon Ross Lyon has probably sat down with Fergus and said, "Look mate, we're going to stick with the forward structure as it is, just for the sake of continuity - something we really need right now. But when things change, with retirements etc next year, there's a forward spot with your name on it. Until then, hone your craft in the VFL - aim to kick 4 a game." And I think Watts will be a better player for it.

i would like to see him play but i do agree that we dont need another tall forward in our team especially for blake. Blake is the worst disposal in the saints side but he can defend and run all day which is why he is still in the team everyweek.
