View Full Version : Stop proving me wrong, Pagan

I have always stood by Pagan, yet he continues to prove me wrong EVERY time i defend him. I have seen probably ONE good coaching performance from him this year, and that was against Essendon. He came out after half time and made some very well calculated risks (e.g. Stevens down forward, Simpson in the middle despite not having a touch, etc.) but that's another story.
Today, against Sydney, he proved me wrong yet again. Before the first quarter had even begun I had the biggest grin on my face due to the match-ups we started with. And throughout the quarter, my grin only got larger due to our hard attack and physical presence (something Collingwood did against the Swans for 4 quarters which greatly contributed to their victory). But in the second quarter, Pagan made a few changes, changes that didn't need to be done and from there our run went down, as did our physical presence and all the things we had been doing correctly in the first quarter. Following these changes, the Swans kicked 8 goals to just our 2. One question: Why would you change tactics that proved to work when we didn't need to?
Once again, this is how Pagan continually proves me wrong; time after time. I think that maybe it's time we got rid of him, i know there is a s*** load of talk about his job next year, but i am officially off the Pagan bandwagon (even though there probably wasn't one in the first place). That is very hard for me to say too, because i really respect the man, but i think it is time for a change... and a quick one!
Get in line, sir. *points to the mass of people with anti-Pagan threads*
Perhaps we could make a Pagan sub-board until we get a new coach.
I want his gone as most people do!
Unless we keep him, pay him about 50 grand a year and let him live with Whitnall in the dog house.
Is he still on a million dollars???? or was this a few years ago?
hes worth about 50grand and a scooter

Quite a simple explanation for today's game really...
Q1: Pagan tried to make it look like he was really trying.
Q2 - Q4: Tank mode.
Not sure why he'd be tanking if he's coaching for his life... Let's get Voss on board, he seems to have the runs on the board!

Maybe he snuck it in his contract that he gets a bonus if;
The team makes the finals, or
He brings us a priority pick

This is very wise advice.

Pagan is the head coach.
And we are still going through our worst period ever.
So I don't think it's a bad thing there are lots of Pagan threads, seems to make sense really.
Sop stop complaining Thrawn.

I actually agree with some of the things you say regarding Pagan, so stop trying to make me go against you by being rude. By the way, it was only a suggestion and not a real complaint. But an apt one, because other Pagan threads will be created and they'll drown out the other football related threads.
So don't assume I'm complaining from one line of text, from a suggestion at that.

That would be a step backwards.
