Glad to see Hartlett's injury isn't season ending and would hope to see him back in the seniors for a few games before the year is out.

Love to see Joe Anderson back soon.
I think he's going to be a servicable player for the Blues.
If Gibbs is injured even in the slightest he needs to be rested, no point him playing under injection or sore at 18.
Not good for Hartlett.
He has chronic hamstring problems - at his age as well......
As for Gibbs. He should never have been played - whether he wanted to or not. His ankle was not right - he could only run in straight lines yesterday. Why are we risking the long term viability of a future marquee player.
Must be another Pagan coaching master-stroke from yesteryear - "Play thru pain....."

Unless Gibbs' ankle was a serious injury, then he should play for the mere fact that it'll be part of the learning experience of being able to cope under some sort of duress in a match (lots of players play with worse injuries). I sprained an ankle in a game on a Thursday night a couple years back and 1 week later I was doing a triathlon, I survived.
If it was a serious ankle then no he shouldn't have played.

Harts injury looked alot worse than what it is now, thank god! He still had a massive kick just after he pulled his hammy when he marked the ball.

The kid is 18 and is highly rated by our club for the future.
There is absolutely no point continuing him on with injury if he can only run straight lines. We aren't going to make the finals!!!
Take a leaf out of the Port Adelaide book from last year.
Book the surgeries now and be 110% for next year.
Playing with injury when you are younger only increases pain, shortens your career and increases probability for injury when you are older.
Enough of the old school techniques. We are playing the modern game!

The more I read people's thoughts and going ons on here, the more i think that our club is actually ****ed with the way it is going about things in regards to game day.

Not only do we get the elite talent we want to stick needles in them at 18 years of age deeds of a deperate coach and sticks you should be ashamed as well.

I heard that Hartlett injured his other hamstring, the one that he hasn't had all the problems with? Can anyone confirm, or are has he done both hammies before?
Cheers.

So what is correct? Is it the other hammy? Or has he injured both?
Bit confused BG:o
IMO, Gibbs should be rested if he is carrying even the slightest injury. I'm sure Grigg would love another chance to prove himself at the highest level.

It's the good hammy AWG, NOT the one he has had past problems with.

Agree. Surely not even the biggest fool in the world could see any sense in playing one of our future best players who has even a slight injury, in a season which is already gone

Even if Gibbs is saying that he wants to play, I couldnt' give a stuff about what an 18 year old says to the club, no matter what their name is.
If he's injured, and he says he wants to play, then that is selfish and not as mature as we are all thinking he is.
Also, it's quite pathetic of our club to be playing an 18 year old who could be carrying an injury... very pathetic that they have no balls to look elsewhere.
I'm not in much favour of the CFC tonight. Read too many bad things on here :o

A young man who loves football and lives and breathes it and wants to play depsite not being 100%.
Who would have thought?
