Guys, this thread paints a painful picture of where our club is at at the moment. Some of the blokes mentioned as top 5 material, while they may well be, are a long way from any successful clubs top 5 players.
If Scotland is in our top 5 I'll spew up. Yeah ok, he uses the ball well but he is raped and pillaged defensively every week, while he is busy kick-chasing. If I was an opposition forward who had a choice of opponents, I'd choose to play on Scotland. If were going to be seriously challenging, Scotland needs to be from 16-22 in order of players picked. Had his best game ever against Essendon this year though.

In no order...
Carrazzo - ball magnet all year
Scotland - as above
Simpson - has provided our best run and has shown some real character with the captaincy
Waite - after an ordinary start to the year has been our best kpp in recent times
Fisher - has been consistent all year as the third tall forward

Settle guys. Nothing wrong with the top 5. They have been great. The problem will be if next year the top 10 does not include:
Walker
Stevens
Murphy
Fevola
Gibbs
Kennedy
Simpson
Waite
These 8 are the KEY
These 8 fire, you can rely on guys like Whitnall, Scotland, Carrazzo, O'Hailpin, Thornton, Cloke, Bentick, Houlihan to be honest.
Makings of a side.
Carrazzo
Waite
Simpson
Scotland
Murphy
honourable mention to Walker, Fisher and Stevens before injury!

I was gunna say the same thing. He has been no-where near the defensive rebounder he was last year for us. I don't even think he has been using the ball that well, for a player of his experience he should be hitting targets all the time! And rarely this year has he beaten a direct opponent while playing in defence. Definitely not top 5, has been too unaccountable but willing to point the finger at teammates at the same time. It isn't acceptable.

He'd definitely poll against Essendon and St. Kilda.
But I don't think he'd be in our top 5 B & F, Carrots is overwhelming favourite to win the B & F
