View Full Version : Thomas jumping on the Bandwagon a bit early?
I know who Geelong is most concerned about — a fit, healthy and confident St Kilda. They are not there yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion that last Friday night lit a candle that just may turn into something a bit more substantial.
..........
If every team currently in the eight had a token that eliminated one team from getting in the eight, I am certain who they would name. St Kilda rarely has had things going for it at the right end of the season, but if that situation changes from here on in, look out!

Thomas is always on the bandwagon in such a way that he makes it clear that he started all of this. I don't know how other fans feel about the fact that he writes a column every Sunday about the Saints (except for when he's bagging Pav), but even I can't bring myself to read it most weeks.
What about the time he talked about being embarrassed to have a shower? Oh my god.

Actually, I am pretty certain that a number of teams wouldn't be too unhappy to have Sydney and / or Adelaide out of the eight come September !
I know it's his job in the media now, but he will know that such remarks will put further pressure on the club and Ross Lyon to make the finals (as he did in the last three years...).
But in essence I hope he's right and that based on the Adelaide game performance and with the additional motivation of signing Dal Santo and Riewoldt for another three years today, the Saints may start a winning streak (another ten in a row would be nice - or 11 if we can't make the top 4 with seven out of seven) !

well grant thomas never had that much to say in his press conferences when he was coach. probably has a more biased view on the sainters now than he did back then!

I reckon if that token could help you to avoid a trip to Subiaco to face the Eagles in a final it might be used there rather than on StK

In that article he also praised Ross Lyon's game-day coaching, saying that it was a major reason for the Saints winning the match. For my part, I think that was pretty impressively humble. My impression of his articles is that he's writing about what he knows and loves. Good on him.
