What do the ex fitzroy supporters think of the idea of Bris wearing FFC jumpers for away games ????

There are rumblings that Brisbane are approaching the AFL for approval to wear the old Fitzroy jumper for at least all of their Melbourne games and possibly all of their away games.

The white away jumper has been far from successful merchandise wise and the FFC jumper will help promote their melbourne supporter base to get them behind the team.

Don't think it will be worn in all Melbourne games as a lot of supporters still want to see the jumper we won the three flags we have won and also represents the merged entity, but 1 to 3 times a year in the old Roy's jumper will be good.

Hate the Brisbane clash jersey but aren't convinced the Lions should wear a Fitzroy jersey as an alternative, or for Melbourne games. Must be remembered that the Lions aren't Fitzroy. What of former Bears supporters? Or those who have come to the Lions post merger?

Think the best outcome would be for the Lions to adopt the Fitzroy 'red and light blue' design but instead of the FFC gold monogram, the jersery should feature a gold lion like that on the front of the traditional Lions maroon and dark blue jersey.

I've been in "supporter's no man's land" since the merger, but I got goosebumps seeing the jumper come back. Seriously! I'd love to see it worn in Melbourne games, but they need to wear blue shorts. White shorts look ridiculous. Brisbane supporters got to keep the name. Can't we get the jumper 5 or 6 times a year? I suspect it would mean a lot to many Fitzroy supporters like me who aren't truly on board the Brisbane wagon.

They Should Totally Remove The Brisbane Lions White Clash Strip, And Wear The Fitzroy 1996 Guernsey For All Clash And Away Games. Not Just Melbourne Away Games.

Have the royboy jumper for 2 melbourne matches, possibly Collingwood & Carlton for history sake and wear the Bears' guernsey in Brisbane for 2 matches, probably against the Swannies and a Victorian side.
