Don't be fooled by Voss, he is more smoke & mirrors than substance. If he thinks he can step straight into the hot seat, he's dreaming. Maybe in the 70's and 80's, but not now.

It's McKenna for me, followed closely by Ratten.

With a good support team around him there is no reason why he can't do it. To me he is the perfect fit to take these young guys to the next level required. Then again I'd be happy with anyone other than Pagan at the minute.

Couldn't disagree more....I reckon he's ready to go ad would love to see him coach Carlton. If he coaches anything like he played he'll be great but take on board there are questionmarks!!

I dont really give a stuff who we get. Now that we have a competent board and administration, I know we will get the best, whoever it is.

I don't want Ratten to take over.
IMO we need someone from outside the club. Someone who remembers how to win. I believe Voss would do a great job, but only if we provide him with the support staff that will help guide him and that he will listen to.

After Voss, I don't care, as long as they are from a winning background.

I don't want Longmire. The last thing I want to see is Carlton playing that defensive crap football.:thumbsd:

McKenna or Bond would be my preferences. As has been said though, we should go through an extensive process to work out who's best to lead us forward.

I'm not a fan of Voss learning on the job.

I feel the same way.
I have complete faith in the Board, and that they will do the job getting the right person into the club.

And judging by what he said tonight, he aint going to walk. Oh well, he'll have to get the DCM after round 22.

Yeah and to all those PP chasers they'll be worried! He wants to win!

Wouldn't it be ironic that he only gets us 1 more win in the next 7, that could almost be the perfect revenge... stop us from getting a PP, get 700K payout for not finishing his contract! WOW a double screw over!

Agreed, I'm confident they will appoint the best man for the job.
And by that I also mean that they should not re-appoint or extend Pagans contract like Collins did.

Yeah, I would rather not here that as our excuse next year.

"We are both as a player and coach learning together and i'm sure we'll get better as the year goes on"
And end up having another 4 win season. :thumbsd:

McKenna will get it :thumbsu:. Swann obviously rates him if he was on the payroll at the pies all that time he developed Collingwood.

Prefer someone with assistant coaching experience to Voss - personally I think he's dreaming if he thinks he can step right into.

I wouldn't mind Mckenna, but as a few have said, I'm sure the club will make the right decision.

Still leaning towards Ratten.

Unless you can convince me what's so good about McKenna and Bond.

I'll be happy with whoever the club decides to coach the club next year with two conditions:

1. It isn't Denis Pagan
2. The candidates undergo a extensive interview process to determine just who'll be the best coach for the club going forward
