I'm not trolling, I'm just cruious to what happened to David Tegue. I saw him on TV playing for the Northern Bullants the last couple of weeks then was suprise to notice that on your website he is still a Carlton contracted player.

He won you BnF in 2005 or 04 I think. What has happened to him? He would be in his late 20's now wouldn't he, so would he ever be a chance to play AFL again? If not, then why has he been on your list the last year?

I personally like him as a footballer but he is probably to old fashion (hard but not enough skill) to play AFL these days

Answers would be appreciated:thumbsu:

He is 26 IIRC.

Has heaps of courage, and that's what won him our B&F.

However he severely lacks in speed and skill which really restricts him as a player.

He is contracted until the end of the year, and he will be delisted at the end of his contract. Unless someone wants to trade for him which I highly doubt.

He just got off his culpable driving case.

It was 2004 i believe, and he's barely strung together a good game since that season.

Love his courage though, and im sad it didn't work out well in the end as we really need some of his qualities in our other players.

No one will take him. Sad to say it, but if you can't get a game at carlton at the moment, you wont be given a chance anywhere else. Especially if your 26.

Got found out with his lack of pace, and oppostion teams exploited this. Simple!

Still as courageous as ever. Took a massive hit on Saturday from Cain Ackland and had to be stretchered off the ground. Accidental of course - both guys were going for a mark and Teague, as usual, only had eyes for the ball.

He makes a cracking VFL player where top pace isn't so important and you get a little more time to dispose cleanly, but sadly just isn't good enough at AFL level.

You have to like someone with his kind of guts.

Tbh he never really got into bad form to get himself dropped per se.

I believe he has a drinking problem, and i don't think Pagan favors him too much.

He also played loose man in defense quite a lot, and with Pagans new 'attacking is good for our kids' game plan, there is no place for him.

I miss David Teague, he was awesome in his peak. It's a pitty his career has ended up like this.

There are two reasons he's still on our list. Firstly he was unfortunately contracted for this year so it we would've paid him this year whether or not he was on the list. Secondly there were so many others who had to be delisted last year that there was always going to be one to two who survived the cull *cough*BannisterSaddington*cough*

Teague would've been handy player to have in the 70's and 80's but not in today's game. It's a shame because of his courage.

Brings back memories of DeLuca........

Slight difference between the two:

Teague: Courageous, tough, but unfortnately the game has passed him by.

De Luca: Soft, Weak, no skill and FORTUNATELY no longer in our team!

Teague is 25 and too slow. One couldn't question his courage.
I feel Pagan doesn't like his ability. But with our defense leaking so many goals, why not have him in the back pocket?

I always thought DeLuca just played like he had something else on his mind. Probably his day job, given the numbers I've heard bandied.

Could he play a simular role to Solomon at Freo? I thought that Solly was dead as an AFL player, not the quickest or most skillful player. David is also very strong over head for his size and as already been said gives 110% every time
