Has anyone else noticed how good a year the goal umpires are having?

There hasn't been a single goal umpiring controversy that I can think of.

They've also ditched the theatrics and no longer strut around like peacocks.

They win my vote as the quiet achievers of 2007. :):thumbsu:

There have been plenty of errors so far, you just haven't noticed them ;)

SG if you are basing your statement on the TV ppl going on about errors, you of all ppl should know better than that!!

I agree with your Chewy, they have had a great year, the only minor niggly things have been escalated by the TV ppl with their totally INCONCLUSIVE replays and their bloody super slomo replays that they show one million times over!!

Go the Goalies, keep it up fellas :thumbsu:

Yep good on them, I haven't noticed them which means they're doing a great job. Now if they could only instruct the field umpires in the same way...

But thyey're noticeable to someone who knows what they've ****ed up on. Granted there have been no errors in score(that I can recall which have been proven beyond doubt) but the quota of errors regarding postioning etc. is definately no less than last year

haha u guys serious??

there was 3 scoring errors in the hertiage round weekend

2 in Collingwood v StKilda

1 in West Coast v Brisbane

None of them were maken deals of during the broadcast but the AFL has gone back and reviewed them and 3 goal umpires have been dropped for 3 weeks.

They all have been proven. . .

Come to think of it, I do recall some hoo-hah from a few rounds ago when the Crows played in Brisbane over several decisions...

Made a few errors on Queens birthday and the umpire was dropped because of it
