Ive noticed that the last few home games our crowd has been relatively quiet. Its been a combination of opposition teams playing well, our team playing poorly, and also I think we have expected wins to just happen against opponents such as St Kilda and Brisbane, so the crowd has just sat silently and spectated, rather than support via clapping, chanting, etc.
This game has a lot riding on it, and we should really do everything we can to lift the team. Every goal should be received with a huge roar, and every good tackle be met with a cry of "ball" from the crowd. I expect Cousins will get a massive ovation when he gets his first touch, and hopefully that will set the standard for the rest of the game. We shouldn't forget how hostile the environment was for our boys when they played in Sydney in round 1, so Saturday night it should be completely reversed. From the time they come on to the ground and run through the banner, to the time they leave the ground at the end of the 4th quarter - we should be cheering them on.
Get behind the team this weekend and make some bloody noise!!!

I think we sat in stunned silence during the Brisbane game as we were seeing the exact same crap they had dished up against St Kilda and we couldn't believe it!!
I disagree about the St Kilda game though. I dont know where you sit, but the crowd around me was as loud as it has been all year for that game.
Lets get them over the top of Sydney people, lets get loud!

I remember a game against Essendon a few years back in the pissing rain. For some reason we were much more vocal than usual. The came was very tight in the last quarter, and Phil Matera sealed it with a soccer off the ground. So whether it rains or not, we can still be vocal thats for sure.

that was one of the best games ive ever been to.
the atmosphere was crazy.
The crowds have been shit all year, you try start a chant and people just look at you.
Get the ****ing cheeraquad to get off there arses (as hard as it must be for the fattys) and do something.
i heard the new chant was 'kick it long!!' and 'just kick it!!' and 'do something eagles!!', also 'get a goal eagles!!' is another perennial favourite.
Yell ****ing loud my fellow Eagles.!!

I'm usually too busy trying to keep the rain out of my chardonnay to cheer in the wet.:o:D
Not there this weekend but I hope those that are give it to Sydney big time.

You just made me remember all the teenage girls who're going to be screaming their asses off at Cuz.
Two behind me went nuts when they saw Cousins walking across the ground, imagine him playing.
I wanted to come, but tickets are going for upwards of $100 on ebay. And I don't own microsoft, apple or sony. So I think i'll just sit this one out. :(
