And note the lack of bias toward Geelong's opposition on channel 7 - Geel vs Ess compared to Geel vs WB
Still hate listening to 'esssssssendon' McAveney.

Notice they moaned when play was continued while Wight was taken off [correct decision] yet no reaction when Wojcinski was carried off ?
Wojcinski almost got clobbered by a player with the ball as he was going off.

Never heard a comment on play continuing while an injured player goes off before. Can't see why it was an issue this time as opposed to the 15000 other times it happens in a given season. Thought the umpires gave them enough time to look after him as it was.

Exactly. If a stretcher was called for, then stop play. The umps only stopped play because Wight was right where the ball was to be bounced.Once he was out of the way play continued,as it should've.

Particularly surprising when you could clearly hear the umpire talking to the Dogs doctor and asked if he needed a stretcher for Wight, and when the doc answered no, the umpire told him that he had to restart play, to which the doctor said OK. If Bruce and Schwarz weren't crapping on about nothing in particular they'd have heard it too.

I went to this game but taped it and watched it again last night. Yeah I also thought the commentary was a big improvement from the Essendon game.
And does anyone think Ch7 have finally done something about their 'crowd mics'. During the last quarter when the Geelong chant went up I could actually hear it on the TV. It was great to be there and great to hear it again.
