It's obvious that Lyon and Connolly speak a fair bit. Lyon would have a fair idea on how alot of things operate over here in regards to football.
So what do you think he was trying to get Chris to say in relation to the WA media on the Footy Show on thursday night?
WA is a cultural backwater, blessed with natural resources like Saudi Arabia. About as enlightened as Saudi Arabia as well.
I'm over footy in that state. It's a joke.

But in relation to the topic, it was Lyon that prompted CC to have a free shot at the WA media.
Some of the points suggested by the posters to the thread may seem over the top in their wording but I think it's what the non WC supporting public do think.
The weekends love-in regarding Ben Cousins shows how far a WC player can go yet will still be treated as a god. It's as if everything that has happened to him has been someone elses fault and that he's the victim of some unfortunate series of circumstances.
(Drug abuse and criminal associates aside, this is a guy who rather than admit his problem let his own father go on national television to deny accusations against him, meanwhile carrying on with all the things his father denied he'd done. Worm.:thumbsd:)
Regardless of Cousins actions and what WC supporters do(agree with them or not) it all plainly shows that the WA media in this state are pandering to what the vocal majority of readers/listeners/viewers want to read, hear and see. It sells newspapers. And in WA where just about everything is blue and yellow I don't see it changing any time soon.
Good on CC for not dropping to the level of the media concerned, maybe they could take a leaf out of his book and act accordingly.
