I know he's just an ordinary sort of player but he does have expierence and size about him he'd be ok for bit of bash crash until the youngsters develop.
Pick him as second rounder in the psd wouldn't hurt, any thought?.

Not tall enough for a ruckman and is too slow. A bit like Pattison.
A big no

I was thinking more in the lines of chb,yes he is kinda slow but he does have a big body which could help us down there as we are getting brushed aside by the big strong forwards.

should have got him this year, he is a vesitile kpp and would have been handy, but wallace went for older injury prone kingley.

I was thinking that as well I mean he's in that age group wallace wants as well 25/26.

ARGH!! What is wrong with this board lately?
Just because we are losing people are totally abondoning their beliefs from the pre season!
Would you have requested we get JASON CLOKE in round 1? Now that we're playing poorly you are accepting mediocrity and want to (once again) bring in a crap mature player (like we did under FRAWLEY) to "fill a gap" for a couple of years.
WE HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE!!!!! It will not win us a PREMIERSHIP!!
Don't mean to have a go at you but this particular opinion is mind boggling. My jaw dropped.
It would be like saying we should recruit Kent Kingsley to allow the kids to develop. Oh wait.. :o

And people wonder why we are so shit?
It's ideas like these that rub off on our recruiters!

Jason cloke is only 25 for a starters and has played finals football
so you can't rate him as totally crap.Have you see our ethiopian backline of late?,are you trying to tell me that they can hold strong bodied players like gehrig, lynch, reiwoldt etc.... ,it's no wonder we get brushed aside every week
because our players look like malnourished ethiopian kids.we need some help desperately until they develop into men.

We are shit because we either have players who are too young with small bodies or too old and nothing inbetween.

Mate you have lost patience.
In the pre season you would have said "let the kids develop" now all of a sudden you can't handle it anymore and want to do what Frawley did.
We have skinny defenders NOW but in 2 years we won't, did you ever think of the future?
Don't become a Danny Frawley poster :p

That's my point in 2 years could mean two more spoons as well ,kingsley was a stupid option cloke was a safer option.Btw the way at the start of the season I knew we were going to have a crap one I just don't want another 2 or 3 in a row.:thumbsd:

I know it's hard and I don't blame you.
But look at it this way... if we pick up a couple of Jason Clokes then you are right, we WILL rise up the ladder.
We will rise up to ninth.
Then we will be stuck because we didn't plan properly for our future. Hawthorn are an example of a team that didn't mind staying down for an extra 2 years. In 2001-03 they drafted well (like us in 2004-06) but instead of topping up in 04/05 they stayed near the bottom.
We need these 2 years at the bottom to complete our rebuild and even though it hurts now in 2 years time we will be laughing. We will be in the top 4 with a bright future lasting a decade. Terry's 5 year plan was always going to lose confidence in this stage of our development... but let's just see it out instead of reverting back to our old ways of bringing in mediocre players to ease the pain for a couple of years.
I'm sick of delaying the pain with Jason Clokes.
Give me pain right now if it will bring a decade of opportunity sometime later.

I get the feeling you're suggesting him in much the same way we recruited Kingsley as insurance in case one of our tall options goes down hurt, other wise I don't think there is any real need for him to be recruited to Richmond. Polak plays the same sort of role that Cloke would in the back line and I think having Schulz, Jack, Patto and Cleve plus hopefully a KP forward drafted later this year gives us enough depth up forward behind Richo for the next few years.

richmond will rue the decision not to go the hard yards with jason and cam cloke because travis has turned out to be a gem. lack of vision there buy the tiges. travis was always identified as going to be the best out of the three. but his brothers were not the worst players going around either.

I would seriously take Cloke if I was Richmond, I rate the guy...If Port did not Have Thurstans+Pettigrew I would have wanted us to take him!

pretty useless in the scheme of things , however I can accept that 2 worthless contracts could be worth 1 quality KPP
