Hanst done a lot. Patrick Bowden has turned the game our way with 3 in the 3rd quarter, Casserley started well, no one else doing too much. Coburg leading 63-44.

Not sure how he went in the first half, but Krak seems to be ripping it up this quarter.
Graham seems to be going OK as well.

Good RFC players for the burgers were Krak, Casserley, Connors, Bowden. Peterson did well for his first stint in the seniors and JON put in as well. Harts had a purple patch in the last quarter and even Tambo put his body on the line and got a few touches in the last. All is not lost at tigerland....the kids in the seconds at least show a bit of talent.

Found this on PRE................
Ok well just got back from the game on a lovely afternoon. Very good performance once again by the Coburg Tigers.
Now.......to set something, straight, i listened to the commentary as well as watching the game, and I was amazed at the amount of times they called Tambling "Krakouer". Anyway.
Meyer- Went off injured in the 2nd quarter, didnt see much of him before that, but was playing up on the half forward flank.
JON- Id probably put him BOG if it wernt for Connors and Casserly. Fantastic game. Took about 3 contested marks, beat his opponent hands down, and I wouldnt think he made a clanger all day. Kicking also had plenty of penetration as well.
Connors- Dont need to say much, apart from that he is a class above VFL level.
Casserly- See Connors. Brilliant game.
Hughes- Presented well, kicked a goal in the last, minimal game time.
Tambling- I saw a different Tambling today. Not the flashy Tambling, but the in and under version. Getting the contested ball, tackling and chasing hard, and it was a very work-man like game from Bling. Very good IMO.
Krakouer- Also was pretty good today. Chased, harrased, did everything right. Solid.
P.Bowden- Got us in control in the 3rd, his smarts around goal were vital. Wouldnt be surprised to see him in the seniors next week.
Graham- Absolutely fantastic game! geee he has improved. Definitely be kept on the list at years end, I think weve found a winner. Very aggresive too, which I like. Tackling was fantastic too, got a couple of 'holding the ball' calls.
White- Was OK. Plently of flair and run, but coughed it up a bit.
Hartigan- See White. Lifted in the last.
Peterson- Solid for his first game. he looks special. PS: My god, he has an amazing jump!
Overall a very good performance from Coburg today.

Connors sounds like he could get a gig soon, ditto Casserley who has a year on Connors.

Dowler kicked three all before half time and looked good until then. He didn't see the ball that much in the second half although delivery into the forward line was average. Vanders got the ball several times but his disposal let him down. Zac Dawson was oK as was Jacobs. Sorry did not take much notice of others.

It would seem that if any Richmond player pulls out tomorrow Huges will replace them as he had not much game time.
I would think Pat Bowden would be back at AFL next week after a couple of good games for Coburg. Hopefully Cass has another good game next week so that he is too a chance to play AFL by years end, also good to see JON having a better game. Would be good if both these two could have a crack by seasons end. Conners might be saved for next year or may be given a game at the end of the year just so he gets a taste:thumbsu:

I was watching the game live and managed to tune in too and to be fair to the boys commentating I think they did a fair job. On so many occasions numbers were obscured because of players being covered head-to-toe in mud and I think it just made it difficult for calling, particularly when you have 10 or so blokes slipping and sliding around the ball.
At least there is reasonable coverage of the VFL for those wanting to listen. Being able to listen while watching is good for the spectators. I think the radio teams do a great job week in, week out.
But you do make a point, on that occasion the commentator shouldn't have made the mistake confusing JON and Connors, particularly when Connors ended receiving the kick.

any reason why hughes played so little?was it the state of the ground?
perhaps someone is in doubt for the seniors.

My best guess would be that someone (maybe Simmonds) is in doubt for tomorrows match. Even if there isn't it doesn't hurt to have a fit untired Huges waiting in the ranks incase something happens in the pre-game warm up.

In the best for Richmond listed players:
Graham, Bowden, Krakouer, Peterson all definites with Connors, Casserly and JON way more worthy of the title than Moore or Ronaldson lol

These look like good signs from the young lads...i would love to see a few of them (connors, JON, casserly, etc..) play this season in the seniors. Would actually give me something to look foward to when watching a richmond game..!
Except of course watching RICHO in his 250th this week, you gotta love him

Benny I have notices that each week the best for Coburg have 3 RFC listed players and 3 Coburg players. I tend to agree with you that it is more likely that they just throw up 6 names that have played reasonably good games for the paper. Notice how Neville hardly ever gets a mention yet we all notice how good he is playing.

Sorry, didn't see the reserves. I believe Jason was close to best on ground.
