He's still not 100% hes prob about 70%. But looks so much better than last week, hes actually moving freely and can kick the ball more than 20m. Great signs. A rest next week and a 1-2 more weeks off before finals and he'll be right.

The most encouraging thing about tonight's game was that he was still moving freely at the end of the game rather than struggling to see the game out like he has recently.

He started the game of slowly, but his last quarter was great, he was breaking tackles and accelerating away. Hopefully his injury heals a bit more this week and hes right to play the bulldogs. However as its at the dome i wouldnt be suprised if theyr est him

Yeah, but a lot of media dudes said it was OP. I should say guessed it was OP.

That was one of the best things for me out of this game, to see Juddy running at full pace again!

He was once again a dangerous player and it was a sight for sore eyes.

Well lets see...yes he is only 70% and that is very obvious!!! He looked better than last week, a bit more dash about him! Maybe we are just underestimating the job that Cornes did on him last week?
After tonight...I'm alot more confident about him working through it and making it to the end of the season!
Of course...with Cousins, Stinger etc back...it helps a hell of alot ;)

Ran straight past Goodes at one point in the last term. Good to see the power in his legs returning.

How fast did he hit the ball when he collected it and dished it off to Jones for a goal. Freak. Im so jealous

As Whoosha keeps saying, 'he is fit to play but on a modified program'.

I would keep playing him off a half forward flank / pocket and let him 'recharge the gas tank' over the next 3-4 games. He is simply unbelievable around stoppages. Any tagger would hate that, he is still on the field and we all know THAT statistic of how much the opposition score when he's on the bench. Going forward he will avoid the midfield intense crash and bash every week.

However, if they were sticking a needle in there every week I don't like that at all and he should be rested.

Watching last night I wouldn't say that Judd is "back to his old self" just yet. But even at less than an optimal level of play he is still one of the best in the game !

He kicked a goal or set up a goal late in the 4th quarter and looked very sore. He was actually limping a lot when he was down in the goal square. I think he was playing half forward at the time and called LeCras over and sent him up the ground while he stayed in the pocket.

Did anyone hear what was just said on the 10 Perth sport news?

"Judd's groin is finally coming right."

Quite humorous.

West Coast captain Chris Judd has once again refused to commit himself to the Eagles beyond this season despite his manager predicting the 2004 Brownlow Medallist would sign with the club for a further two years.
Judd, who comes out of contract at season's end, will be hotly pursued at the end of the year by a number of Victorian clubs keen to secure his signature.

On Saturday, Judd's manager Paul Connors said on Melbourne radio that he believed the star midfielder was likely to sign one more contract with West Coast before finishing his playing career with a Melbourne club.
But Judd hosed down those comments, saying Connors was not speaking on his client's behalf but rather expressing his own personal opinion.
"He had a conversation … and they asked him what his gut feel was and he told them that," Judd said of his manager's interview on radio.

"That was his opinion … I haven't spoken to him about it."
"I've made my intentions pretty clear and one thing I'm not going to do is start conducting contract negotiations through the media. The club knows my position and they are very comfortable with that. At the end of the year we'll sit down and have a chat about it."

"So that's fine. Nothing's really changed from my point of view. Look, things get written about us all the time, it's water off a duck's back."
"I wasn't here when the (article in the) paper came out but I had (girlfriend) Bec's mum on the phone sort of dirty with me that she wasn't the first to know," he added with a smile.

Judd has struggled to perform at his scintillating best over the past two months due to a troublesome groin injury that has robbed him of his explosive pace off the mark.

But after being noticeably down on input during West Coast's 91-point loss to Port Adelaide in round 15, Judd has bounced back with excellent games against Sydney and the Bulldogs over the past fortnight.

"The groin's pulling up better and better each week so it's something we are going to manage and hopefully it will be right for the rest of the year," Judd said.

"Certainly the last couple of weeks I've felt I'm moving a lot better and felt a lot freer. We'll just play it by ear and have light weeks on track."
But as for the exact problem?
"It's hard to explain," Judd replied.

"It's not osteitis pubis in the traditional sense. I would be here for half an hour trying to explain it. It's an issue with the tendon, and for it to be fit it just needs a couple of months' rest, so that will happen at the end of the year. But there's certainly no surgeries or things like that being looked at."

"It's funny. You hear the doctors on the TV - I mean I didn't know what it was for a while so it was interesting to know that they already knew considering they hadn't looked at any scans."

Seems its a bit more serious than I expected. Those injuries that can't be treated are never good. But hopefully if they manage him right it will never come back.

I'm all pretty pissed off at his manager. I want to smash him.

Agree - Judds manager seems like a F-truck head Victorian who wants him home.
