was at our fine casino this afternoon & in the sporting part of it where they have the big **** off footy screen, i noticed a large mural on the wall. it involved james hird (yeah, hate him but fair enough) & RYAN TURNBALL. was just wondering, is that slightly embarassing, it would be the equivalent of Chris Judd & Trent Knobel these days. surely they could have taken a photo of a slightly more reputable player. i.e. Brett heady, Jason Ball, or even a young cousins. anything.

Premiership ruckman mate!

Never a Knobel-esq dud, good solid ruckman, pretty popular with WCE fans and esepcially East Perth fans as he played some awesome football for them in the twilight of his career.

Not really bothered if the big man can get his mug in a mural at Crown. FWIW, Cousins has a delightful Technicolour Yawn in the high rollers room.

Remember the year he stepped in at CHB when Jacko did his knee? Definetely an underrated player.

That mural has been up there for a very long time.
I always wondered why they chose to put his picture up rather than a more high profile player. Especially when you think of the guys he used to run around with in the 90's.

I always assumed it was because he just happened to be in the background of the shot of Hird they decided to use...

Turnbull was no Kemp, Matera, McKenna or Jako but he was a handy, underrated player.
