Anyone seen the slimes this morning?
First we have the Ben Cousins puke-fest on front and back page, about 10 pages in and then a nice ticker on what exactly Ben did during the whole game... SPEW!!
Then to cap it all off we have Bagdorn doing a lovely center spread about why Fremantle are so crap...Good onya Baggers, you idiot.
...and then we have a ****stick called Braden Quartermaine, who when he had crawled out of Ben Cousins arse then proceeded to bag us from every direction but obviously gets all his information from Bay 13 as he brings up the Trading history and uses quotes that surely have to come from Frank in Canning Vale.
It's about time you maggots stopped sucking Blue and Yellow **** and at least put up a pretence of balanced journalism.

I was dissapointing about the lack of publicity for Bellys 300 game and life member to the AFL.
Why would you want it to change,it gives you an easy out.
Every time something goes wrong at your club you can just blame the WA media/West Coast and then you feel all better again.

We only get the early addition up here and I thought it would be "Drugo Free" due to WC playing a twilight game. They must have delayed the dispatch of the paper until after the WC v Syd game was over OR they had two drafts waiting to hit the press depending on the outcome?

I know Cousin's is a brownlow medalist n all, whatever, but why didn't farmer get such a big thing about his return, he played a good game? That section where it shows his every move like:
Cousins comes on field.
Cousins Comes off for rest.
Cousins on white line waiting to come on.
I just reckon that was the worst part of it, fair enough if he is a quality player and all, I'll admit that but the way the paper does it is over doing it..

He's been hounded by the media since being suspended before the season started, has rarely been out of the papers, his return has been anticipated perhaps as highly as any WA footballer returning from anything, and has probably received more threads and scorn than any other player in the history of this website, let alone amongst the general public. And your wonder why there's massive coverage on his return game? :confused:

Driving to work this morning listening to Sports Extra on ABC 1000 am start.
I'm 5 mins away from work the time is 1020 am. Up till that point Mitchell and his sidekick have covered nothing but the golden boys.
At 1020 they start talking about the Freo game and I'm thinking I'll have to listen to rest in the car park. At 1022 am it was all over. 2 friggen minutes ! We got a little bit of Harvey's after game conference that was it.
At 5pm yesterday ABC replayed the after match interview with Scotty Thornton. Bloody good interview went for a good 3 to 4 mins. He spoke articulately and intellegently. I was hoping at least Mitchell would have played some of it.
One thing about that interview Scott said very confidently "He'll sign". Guess who he was refferring to ?
Anyway If I get enough guts I'll ring ABC tomorrow after 9.30 when Mitchell does his weekend rap and attempt to embarrass him.

Strange that Hagdorn says Pav must declare his intentions for next year but it's ok for Judd not to. I've read it twice attempting to follow the logic but I don't think there is any.

Just thought, there may be one exception. I was at the Force's windup function and they give an award to the media who best covered the Force during that season and a woman from the slime won, and in her acceptance speech she said, "go the Dockers!" I think her name was Tanya or Kylie? Can't remember, too many Goundrey Reserve Cabs!
Why should he decide now? Peter Bell and Farmer might retire, or take a pay cut. Who know how much room will be in the salary cap?
He probably has full intentions to stay, but is waiting for the full picture on salaries etc.
I mean, he's captain, our best ever player. If he'd signed 10 months ago, maybe he wouldn't get as much as now?
Or maybe he'd be under pressure for not performing - I don't think he's had his best season this year, and if he'd signed already for a huge sum, every below game would be written up as a poor performance, that Freo signed him too early, blablabla.
I'd rather have speculation about whether he's staying than have those at The West write up that we wasted money on him, or that he's overrated or whatever, and hang shit on him.
