Nah, I think he's fine... it'll go to the tribunal, but they'll throw it out, or give him a suspended sentence (as opposed to a SUSPENSION sentence...).

why dont your club rub out Didak for what he did recently and also johnson and tarrant last yr instead of coming in here and preaching ?

Lol Because there Off field incidents and the club decides on their Fate
this is on field incident and AFL decide their Fate in terms of playing on the field.
I think he may get a couple, but I expect the club to put up one hell of a fight on his behalf. Time for us to dig out the biomechanical experts and the video footage gurus to get him off.

the afl were supposed to get tough on off field incidents but as its collingwood and not the eagles or some other club then they turn a blind eye to collingwoods lack of punishment for some of their players off field behaviour.

wrong again my friend... he admitted to "substance abuse" that could mean simply he took too many panadols a day if you wanted to be nit picky... (clearly it was not panadol) now the AFL is hardly going to suspend him for that (nor can they for that matter)

lol he basically admitted doing it wrong cos if it was jus panadol or something thats unbannable he wouldnt bother
so by speaking up he tried to look the good guy.
he still in the wrong
he is in the head.
was it this year or last year when he ran from the coppers cos he was drunk whilst driving

My prediction : one week.
If we do lose Kosi for one week, we can manage (with the carlton game) If we lose him for more than one match, then that won't be good news.

If Kosi goes, bring on Ferg Watts. Let him tear the Blues apart. Jon Brown style!

Matthew Clarke might get recalled? He has been right for two weeks (unless he has been reinjured again) Casey having the bye doesn't help his cause. It just might be better a ruckman for a ruckman.

God knows how you can get Didak and Cousins into this thread?
If drugs and off field behaviour was the point of Kosi's report then he will difinitely get off. If it was for the flying, late elbow to the back of the head he will get pinged...
It doesn't really matter if Didak and Cousins snort ten kilo's of coke and drive around Melbourne all week shooting kittens and burning Kosi in effigy I'd don't think the tribunal will take it into account.
Even the media have dropped the Didak thing and Cousins only gets a mention re: his outstanding return. Maybe some of you guys should take a leaf....!
For simple consistency Kosi will go for at least 1 week maybe 2...don't know what he was thinking but he really went a little "loose" for a while there and if I were they club docs I would be having a good look at him...
Good win Saints

Correct, not relevent.

Probably, but only worth one. Late and high, but not malicious. He was no later than Riccuito was on Kosi last week, and that wasn't cited at all.
Although it is chooklotto ...

He would get a downgrade for a good record, because he has not been fit enought to hit anyone in 3 years!!
Seriously though, might be in a bit of trouble, maybe a week, but I remember Hird getting reported for something similar and getting a warning a couple of years ago on Anzac day.

A week won't be too much of a penalty considering who we play this week.
The problem will be who do you bring in? In Round 13 we brought Gehrig in, leaving Rix and Blake to ruck. If we do that again, does that mean we bring Watts in? Or on the other hand, bring in Doc Clarke to share ruck duties. Who do we push forward then? Neither Rix or Clarke is much chop as a forward.
The answer might be Barry Brooks, who can do both to some standard and won't be tested too much in the ruck by Ackland/O'Hailpin/Kennedy.

I agree.
Let Rix/Brooks/Blake take on the Blues rucks. If they can't beat the combination you've listed above it'll say a lot about the future of the Saints rucks.
Alternatively bring in Fergus and I'd still back a Rix/ Blake combo to beat the blues talls. Only problem than is you lose the opportunity for Blake to play a shut-down as he did so well against Crawf. (I reckon that was an inspired move! Using one of our bottom 5 to cancel out one of their top 5. Long have people bemoaned Blakey as being big in the engine but small on skills. Maybe the run with role will suit him well. He's got the endurance and the physical attributes required.)

The saints always seem to get the wrong end of the deal at the tribunal.
(Frase a couple of years ago on Cloke, and Baker last season got 2 - even though 2 players didn't even get cited for very similar incidents the week before)
He'll probably get 2.

I remember Blake in his second year shutting down Camporeale, when Carlton were playing finals and we weren't. That was in one of Thomas' first games as coach. Having Leigh Fisher, Blake, Jayden Attard & Steven Baker all capable of playing a hard tag it does free up other players, such as Luke Ball, to be more damaging. Ball could cause some havoc for the rest of the season across half-forward.

Bugger off you little troll. If you want to talk crap then go on the Collingwood board with the rest of your uneducated, moronic friends.
Oh and by the way, you may want to do a grammar check before you post your dribble, because most of it doesn’t resemble anything remotely like English.
Kosi will get a week because it was reckless. End of story.

2 weeks, reduced to 1 week with an early plea.
The club would be mad not to take it.

Good luck to Kosi but the one week suspension is indicative of how farcical the whole process has become. He has charged up, taken his eyes off the ball and blatantly smashed a bloke in the back of the head. If an action like this is only worth one week the system needs an urgent overhaul. All we here about nowdays is duty of care and Kosi's hit from behind makes a mockery of that.

Take the week, will be a good chance to let his body freshen up, this is the most footy hes played for a few years, don't risk getting 2.

Well, I was wrong. I think we'll bring in Matty Clarke, and if he plays well, I think Rix'd better get busy or nervous. As we get closer to the finals, Lyon will be very tempted to have somebody of Clarke's experience in the side.

Clarke or Brooks, didn't Clarke have a good game against King vs Geelong 2 weeks ago?
If Brooks doesn't get a game this week (Assuming Kosi's out) he has to be definately gone

Agreed if we can't beat Calton without him we may as well give up this year. But we will definately need him the week after
Confirmed Kosi has taken the week

Honestly, I think he was lucky to get offered a week.
There was massive force behind that blow to the head, and I would say it was deliberate (he certainly wasn't going for the ball).
It was funny how he apologised straight away.....I would be apologising too if I just wacked Rob Cambell in the back of the head =).

Was it this week or last week he got 38 possies. The other dude is right his hands were never caught in the cookie jar so they try do anything he says proove it. they don't have a leagal leg to stand on.
plus im sure they probably would have persued the matter had the eagles let him off as you say "scotch Free".
pull your head in mate.

there was malice see the way he sort of stutters then really pushes off the ground before impact...could have been a lot worse though.
IMO he didn't like seeing harvs get a mark taken over him 2 times in 50 seccond thats why he hit so hard he knew he should have been at the contest...but i guess we will never know
