My best for the game today: Foley, Riewoldt, King, Edwards, McGuane, Thursfield. Don't care too much for what the older blokes did as they are not what the future of our club is about. Would also like to thank Hyde & Howat for their time and service to the RFC but you will no longer be needed.

the team played good in patches they played a much better team.
foley best again, edwards, riewoldt, thursty,McGuane all promising signs for the future they should play the rest of the year. we all knew after gaspar "retired" we would have a hard time this year we only seem to have the body for patches atm. the team needs another good preseason to bulk up a little work on skills to many turnovers stills. richo kicks 4 straight today didn't seem to feel any pressure. think jackson an howats needs rest in the 2nds for a few weeks didn't seem to get into the game

Was at the game and Edwards stood out like a beacon for us. I suggested at one stage that he maybe thrown into the ruck as well as we were being slaughtered in the middle! Riewoldt showed enough to warrant being left in the side for the rest of the year.
Players to drop this week:
Tivendale (no awareness)
Tuck (turned the ball over too much)
Jackson (sorry Jacko you had a shocker).
Howat (I don't think he will make it)
Players in:
Connors
Casserley
JON
Tambling (play him in the midfield all day to see what he is made of)
We can't make only one change again after a thrashing like that.

johnston, bowden and hyde did well and tivs, foley got a lot of posessions but he has fallen back to his old short hospital passes habits. jacko had a shocker and should have tagged p burgoine. the backline is a disaster, polak dont know how to spoil, king and mcguane just as loose, raines was in the wars, but port got a lot of charity frees in the forward line. none of the big forwards went up the ground and kept the forward line overcrowded and no one to pss to. schultz riewoldt and richo were too close together and spoiled each other. wallace again showed lack of enterprise.

3- Edward. OMG, OMG, OMG, he excites me;)
2- McGuane. Makes you wonder why he hasn't been in the side for so long
1- Throw a blanket over Pettifer, Richo, Riewoldt, Thursty, Foley
Howatt was really hungry today, needs to learn to pass the ball when 70m out, not shoot.
Raines simply got belted today. Probably had 10 goals kicked on him all up, good be up for a run at the magoos
Jackson, played foward and was pretty awful, needs to have another few solid games if he wants a new contract
Schultz was olay IMO. He kicked 0.2 and his kicking seems to have gotten worse however, his handballing, presenting, pressure, etc was alot better. Has done enough to secure his spot next IMO
Changes next week
OUT: Howatt, Jackson, (Raines (if he is dropped))
IN: Bowden, Conners/JON/Casserly, (Tambling, if Raines is dropped)

2. McGuane - Comes into the side and stops last weeks Rising Star.
1. Foley - Gets Tons of it and usually uses it well.

bad enough as he was he kicked a ripper on the run from 55 and also did last week which they called touched. other players in our team need to do more of these acts before hyde gets the ass.

Edwards, McGuane, Thursty, Reiwoldt, Foley. Was a little dissapointed in King today, have always had just one query about Kingy - love his work ethic, courage, touch of mongrel but bc of his lack of size just want to know he can do a number on the oppositions small forwards week in week out. Once he proves that Im sold.
Tuck, Tivendale, Hyde, every week we keep hearing the same things, no awareness, poor execution and poor decision making, thats pretty damning and the sad thing is we rely on all 3 of these guys to carry and deliver :o Some tough decisions need to be made at seasons end..
Bring in another 3 young guys next week and leave the lot in for the rest of the season, thats the only thing that will keep my interest in the season, watching the young guys. Hughes, Connors, Casserley, JON all in next week and tambling after another few weeks at coburg

For every goal on the run that Hyde kicks he costs us 5 - due to his lack of accountability and awareness.
Tries hard - but not up to it and has no upside. What you see is all you're ever going to get.

and missed another ripper from 40 on the run, without any pressure after steadying and nailing it for a behind. ;)
