I am hopeing carlton win one more game this year but it wont happen because they are the most woeful team i've seen play, and the brisbane game just renforced it. So there goes pick 1, then next year Carlton have to win more than 5 games which wont happen so then goes pick 1 again. So in other words we're ****ed.

We are desperate for skillful inside midfielders more than a 200cm ruck/fwd....so i reckon whether its Kruezer or Cotchin its a win...

I think we drafted ok last year, lets use that recruiter again.

Probably pass on Kruezer and Cotchin and pick up some 6 foot athlete that can't kick in a stroke of genius that is destined to fail

I just can't understand how anyone can pass up on Kreuzer. He could be anything! He has the endurance and speed to play as a midfielder; he has the height to play as a ruckman or CHF or FF. How can the opposition man up on him?

irrelevant because carlton wont win another game and they will pick him up..

Carlton still has a game against Melbourne. So there is one they could win. Even if they get the first pick who cares? They have got the first picks in the past and it hasn't helped them.

What do you mean who cares? They get pick 1 despite the fact we came last and we miss out on Kruezer who is the best player in the draft by a mile:confused:

We still get pick 2 and pick 18, 19

3 picks in top 20 is still ok, means our recruitment team just have to work for a change and make sure we use them wisely, which is something we arent very good at over history.

Even if we miss out on the first pick we still can get a good player for the second pick (unless we screw up again). Besides I am enjoying seeing Carlton getting belted by 10+ goals week in week out.

If it makes you feel any better I can't see where our improvement is going to come from next year (the young players are still a couple years off making a major impact) and likely to get the first pick next year in a stronger draft. Plus the possibility of the priority before the first round.

2/ Grimes - Richmond
18/ KP
19/ Ruckmen

! watched the U18 Carnival (Melb Games) and NK vrs WJ on Saturday and every time I see Grimes he impresses me as much as Kruezer. He is a natural Leader with a strong body and great skills on both sides of his body. I think he is shading Cotchin at this point and he is 187cm as opposed to Cotchin's 183cm.

the blues might steal richmond's picks but our last few years have shown we don't really know how to draft good players. they've been few and far between for us.

Don't worry. We have the same problem.

yeah - carlton are going to steal our picks EXACTLY the way we earned them

By being utterly crap.

they haven't stole them - they earned them for being crapper than us for the past two years.

We need to get KPP in this draft to replace our ageing ones. Wallaces game plan is like the bulldog's one, it's trying to beat teams with run and pace off the backline with not too much need of talls, only we have shitter players, and i know thats wallaces game plan for the future. The problem is the bulldogs have proved it doesn't work as they wont win a premiership obviously. We NEED talls in this draft, let them develop, then focus on smaller on-ballers in next years draft.

ps If wallace and his department draft more so called "ants" and not tall young talent then he can **** off with the money his already leached off us.

I understand your sentiments but we can't let a player of the calibre of Grimes, or to a lesser degree Cotchin pass us by. Kruezer is streets aheads of other contending big men and who knows who will make it out of that group. Thats why I say grab the KP and Ruckman with our second and third picks.

Where's the logic in that?
We beat you guys this season and you are on the bottom of the ladder, the blues are not:thumbsu:
Some people are actually stupid
We might have been worse last season but it's clear who is this year:cool:

pedantic just a bit? ;)

we're both that far away its not funny :o

If the blues dont win another game, then bad luck we miss out on kruezer, just have to move on, picks 2,17,18 are still good value

I agree you are much better than us this year.In fact you are at least 5 wins better than us. You should therefore be barred from this draft for undertaking activities prejiducial to it. LIKE TANKING:mad:

considering i have a richmond & carlton membership, and closely support both teams - i don't quite follow what your point it.

Carlton are terrible - i cant believe they are still this bad considering the amount of top 5 picks they have had of recent years - richmond are similar, but at least most of our picks were around 7-12 for the past few years.

both teams are rubbish at the moment - and probably don't deserve to get kruezner - cancer - why ruin another kids career?

You guys are tanking more than us. We continue to play old guys who have no future. If we were tanking we would play the kids.

you're getting flogged yet persisting with "old guys who have no future," that sounds like tanking to me, if the blues were serious they'd be playing the younger blokes and probably being a fair bit more competitive.

Exactly. The old guys have no future coz they're crap...so thats why you're playing them so u can lose, so therefore its tanking....
we're not tanking, we're just shitehouse....

if carlton were to lose every game for the rest of the year and pick up kruezer with their #1 pick i would rather take take palmer at #2.
seems like a bloke that could come in straight away and fit right into the half backline.
its somethin we need out of the backline and somethin we havent had for a while.
not getting kruezer just might be a blessing in disguise. who knows???

Melbourne will win one more game (in round 22 against Carlton) taking their season's tally to four. Carlton won't win another game, leaving their tally at four. We won't win another game. Our picks will be at Nos 2, 18 and 20. Carlton's will be at Nos 1, 3 and 21. Melbourne's will be at Nos 4, 19 and 22.

What or whom will it take for Carlton to trade the No 1 pick?

Can't trade your priority pick. If they want to trade, it will have to be pick No 3 or 4 (whatever they end up with).

Too much pressure on pick one cause he has "champion" status written on him before he leaves the showroom.

So we finish last this year and miss out on the no 1 pick which is complete bs cause Carlton dont deserve it, so what happens next year when we will do just as bad, and the year after that when players like richo, brown, bowed, simmo retire, and we could go worse? how would the draft picks work in our favour? like which ones would we get? the top 3 picks for the 3rd shit year in a row?:confused:

Melbourne has the incentive to jump from pick 4 to pick 2 if they lose. The round 22 game will be the 'tankiest' in AFL history:D
