We need to add a gilt edged midfielder to our stocks if we are to make any progress. If we can bring in a young star added to some likely types that can add another pre season and bulk then we will be alot closer to being a decent unit than if we try and land the big one with this 6"6 kid from the northern Knights. with Gus contiuing to improve we could trade away sarge bring in dowler..thats our KPP covered

how have you rated sarge this year....thats the benchmark...we can only improve on that...I realise he's not the prodigal son....worth a shot though and llows us to focus on bringing in a gun midfielder

why not keep both on the list if we can get dowler? still have faith schulz will come good, hes the only natural FF we have at the club and dowler isnt a FF either. Hughes and reiwoldt also are more naturally suited asleading and floating half forwards

sarge is doing good, he dont rely on taking marks and gets the ball out well compared to jumping jack and hughes. he has been a bit inaccurate this year and should have 30 goals instead of 15.

we need midfielders not forwards we having plenty of forwards ready to take richos spot when he retires, right now we can't get the ball to our forward line.

Shulz was good today worked hard off the ball and presented, I was happy to see him and Riewoldt get in Richo's way a few times today. Although it's bad that their was a lack of talk and understanding it meant that the two of them were presenting and attacking the ball.

Shulz to stay, Dowler to keep kicking 3 - 4 goals a week for Box Hill.

Do you think it would be worthwhile moving Richo on to a wing and have a Hughes/Shulz/Jack/Brown/Tambling/Edwards forward line for the rest of the year?

Yes. I said before and it pained me to do so but I firmly beleive that the best thing for the 'Cho and the RFC is if Richo was traded to a club like the Dogs. That's what my head says but my heart doesn't want it.

If anything Richo deserves to be a one club 300 gamer for the Tigers but I just don't think the clubs development and where the list is at both suit each other.

Hopefully I am wrong and Richo/Shulz/Riewoldt/Hughes can form the base for a great and formidable Richmond forward line. Or as you suggest Richo still has enough left in the tank to play more up the field for another two seasons.

Bugger off idiot....while you're at it, why dont we sell the statue of captain Blood on e bay to settle our debts....Now you listen up champ....that's a bull%$^# idea, this isn't some chartered accounting firm that ruthlessly trades assets to remain solvent..This is a footy club, a living breathing entity, without a soul there is nothing, for this lost generation of the RFC , Richo is that soul....How anyone that has yellow and black coursing through their veins could have such little reverence for a tiger of the century is beyond belief:o

Wrong and wrong again, as soon as the VFL became the AFL such sentimentality went out the window. I have followed the Tigers since I was old enough to know better and I love the "Cho as much as the next guy.

However if a player is hindering the development of players and the club is in a rebuilding stage and he will not be playing during the next projected time of constant success then questions need to be asked.

The attitude that you have taken is a big part as to why when most of the other sides in the compertition reconized that the league had become nationalized Richmond were still stuck in suburban mode.

AS I have said clearly I don't not want it too happy but as the weeks go by think that it may have to happen.

Crawford and Dowler are re-signing with Hawthorn this week.
