on fox 8 they did a count down of the top 8, does anyone have a list of the 8 episodes chosen?

Haha, yeah the clown episode is very good.
Numbers 1,3 and 4 shouldn't have been in the top 10

IMO the Scorpio episode is the best.
No Frank Grimes.
He complains about Homer being stupid, i complain about the votes being stupid.

What a shit list, their was a couple of ones that deserved to be their, but most of them no way should they have been their, in particular number 1, not even the top 100 episodes, the people who voted for that are idiots.
Homer goes to college and Homer's rival are two that should automatically be their

It was voted by the viewers, clearly they all must have been about 12 judging by that list

IMO the Scorpio episode is the best.
Homers Rival is probably my favorite. As is the one where Selma marries Troy McLure and the union one.
Does anyone know how the voting was done? I never saw any mention of where you could vote, there must of been limited selection though and not many voters actually voted. Never seen the one with Abe as a bullfighter, for it's ok but obviously not anywhere near top 10 stuff.
I love the one where Bart witnesses the waiter and Fred Quimby because of the whole McGonickle thing.
Anyway here's a better list (a top 25).

I picked it up yesterday (In Coles of all places) for $30. I got it because it was the newest one there and Seasons 1-6 are the ones I've seen literally 7 million times. Looking at the episodes in this season, I'd go as far as to call it the best of them all. I lucked out big time getting this one :eek:

The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over- 'conquered' if you will- by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive Earthman or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

Yeah thats one of my favourite scenes, up there with:

anything past series 13 is shite
its like two different shows when you watch and early episode and a newer one, the older one's are alot more witty and provide better emotion.

I'm pretty sure it's widely regarded as one of the worst episodes, actually. I certainly don't know anyone that regards with anything but contempt.

Behind the Laughter is one of my favorites. Was a really different episode (so was Grimes' episode at the time) but I really enjoyed the humour and the biography documentar/behind the music spoof scenes "The dream was over....or was it......yes it was".
That was the last truly great episode of the Simpsons - since that one I don't think there have been any episodes I've watched more than twice (and I've missed most of the last 3-4 seasons). Behind the Laughter would have made a fitting farewell to the series. The ironic thing is, near the end, Homer goes "this'll be our last season" :D
