Err...what a wierd season in the AFL, we had a bad patch and somehow held on to second place there for a couple of weeks...
now we win a game and we drop down the ladder! from 4th to 5th!!!
Why is this season so close!!!!!

The season being so close means that we are still a realistic chance for a top two spot despite our poor recent form.

It also means we have very little margin for error in trying to make the top 8 let alone top 4.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a side win from 5th or 6th this year.

We really needed to win this week clearly.

A few weeks ago we lost and moved up a spot. It is a very strange season.

Well, that's us right now, so hope you're right :)

In all honesty if we finish 5th or 6th this year we can win the flag. We played 4 week of finals last year, of course this time there would be no margin for error but dont right us off if we dont finish in the top 4.

If the 8 stays as it is now :

Week 1 : Home final against Sydney
Week 2 : Away final against loser of Geelong v Port
Week 3 : Away final against winner of Hawks and Roos.
Week 4 : GF

No finals are easy but at our best those games are winnable.

Be easier if we can grab second though.

BTW, Sydney could win it from 8th.

:eek: I didn't want to know about that, thanks very much :(

We must finish top 4 but I still have my eyes on second spot. We can still easily finish second and with Cousins, Hansen and Stinger back and with Fletch, Nicoski and Wirra to still come back in were looking stronger every week.

Port played Richmond and got a nice percentage boost.

Bolded bit.
Don't think that will happen this year, they don't seem to have the same spark as usual.

As for our season, our destiny is in our own hands, i still think we need a top 4 finish to go anywhere, travelling for 4 weeks in finals will be tough ask.

Well a few weeks ago we lost and rose from third to second. I guess you could call it karma :D

again thanks to port. theyre back and i already have gained back my hatred against them from their power years. sick and tired of port ruining our seasons years on end!

not saying our season is ruined though but we need top 2 and that can be done. put it this way the only danger games coming up is the saints. i feel bulldogs, freo and the kangaroos will be dealt with easily. sounds arrogant but think about it...

Give us a final against any Melbourne team @ the MCG and I reckon we'd take them!
Give us a final at the Dome against Geelong/Hawks/Kangas and I reckon we're history!
