If we have had a bigger eality check in the oasts years, IT has escaped my memory. Our Inspirational Captain Gone for 6 weeks. Our Goalkicking machine gone for 6 weeks. Our bustling number 1 tagger gone for 8 weeks. Our 2 hardnuts from the backline gone, our jumping jack (no not not Symons) Moorcroft gone for 5 weeks, Most people would say that Essendon are gone. But we won't bow out just yet.

Mercs, JJ, MJ, Wellman, Lucas, Fish, Cara, Fletcher, Bluma, Heffer,Rama, Barnard ... al those guys, if they play at their best, Bombers are just as good, if not better.

It gives the young guys a chance to show their stuff, Harvey looks impressive, so to Jacobs, and McGrath and henneman.

Don't write The bombers off yet, they still have alot of Spirit in them.

very well said! just wish that I had your attitude!

Never write us off....we are not done yet!! (when we get completely thrashed this season, then people can write us off :()

We still have a great list. Plenty of talent. We just need a morale boost!! We just gotta show everyone we don't rely on our champions - we have depth. We showed it last year, we can show it again.

Steggie,

It will certainly be a test of Essendon's depth in their list to see if they can cope with the loss of suck great players. It will be very interesting to see how they go in the coming weeks.

So, is Paul Salmon far away from getting a game??

Cheers mate!!

Now don`t get me wrong on this fella, because I love him.
But Paul Barnard really has to lift his work rate, pull his finger out,put in any cliche you want, apart from Richmond when everyone was kicking goals he has been very quiet, come on Barney, lift mate.

Look for big things from Mercs! He did it in 1999 and if he can get his groin right, he will do it again this year. If we can hang in there for the next 2-3 months, we may still have something to say come September.
