Just wondering if anyone else would like to see Bomber Thompson as coach from 2008?

Why not put this on the main board.

I dont like bomber, his coaching was way to inconsistent. The club wouldn't feel secure with him as coach.

I doubt that with the form Geelong are in, that they'll let him go.
But then again, look what he has done. He was at the cross roads last year.

Isn't he out of contract at the end of the year ????

I heard Robert Walls say that he has heard around the traps that Essendon are very keen on a former Essendon player who is now coaching and doing extremely well with his side who he believes is coming out of contract at the end of the year.

Bomber is in a great posistion to switch clubs at the mome, he is holding all the cards.... The bargaining power he has is great, Geelolng don't have a hold on him at all... The man loves the Bombers, he still lives in Essendon! Why wouldn't he jump ship? If there ever was a time for him to coach the Bombers, it would be now....:)

Bomber won't leave when he has gone through so much to get Geelong where they are.

Neale Daniher is reject. He would be the worst thing that could happen to the bombers. When you look at his leadership attributes, he has none.

For me it is Vossy all the way. OK he is untried, but so was Sheedy 27 years ago. At the end of the day, he is an exceptional leader - and he would inspire every player at that club. All the other stuff he can learn along the way.

I wouldn't mind Bomber....(and much much much rather him than Daniher).

Mostly because it'd piss off my Geelong supporting family who thought it was hilarious that Sheedy was sacked but have been calling for Thompson's head for years (except when they win)...
