Does it seem likely that they will be in Division 2 next year or do they have a chance of winning a couple of games and staying up??
It just doesnt seem right epping playing divison 2 footy after being up in div 1 for so many years

They need it to rebuild the sides I believe. It has been a long time coming ever since Ghazi left. It will be interesting to see how many blokes leave if they go to divvy 2. I for one can't wait to play against them if they come down. Especially since the basting that I copped for leaving them to go to a division 2 club.

They have been making up the numbers in Divison 1 the past few years. It's not a case of "if" anymore. I agree, it needs to happen as they need to rebuild. They are on their way to divison 2. It's time to go............Epping!

I've posted this before.........
I'm pretty certain that Epping will be given the opportunity to
stay in D1 in 2008 as the NFL are looking at promoting 2 teams from D2.
That would make 12 teams in D1 and probably 12 teams in D2 as
Reservoir will be back, Kinglake looking at Yarra League and
Fawkner Park not looking likely

I hope that does happen but looks unlikely going by what they were splashing around in the Whittlesea Leader about Epping. At the moment it's been only rumours about 2 teams going up from Divison 2.

I think it's more of a 'strong consideration' having spoken to the powers
at the NFL

Surely logic (ok not an always common commodity in NFL / football in general) dictates that it is either Epping stays + 2 from Div 2, 1 team up one team down or at the outside 1 down three up - if only to keep even numbers of sides in the competition.
But I guess we will have to wait and see - dont suppose any announcements are planned before the nd of the season / finals series?
It would be important that they announce it officially before clubs start having their AGM's and starting to look at coaches / players etc for next year for those that havent started already...
