"Jordan Bannister led the Bomber attack, booting 8-goals and dominating on the wing and across half-forward. "Bannister did everything that was asked of him. He attacked the footy and created play. It was one of the best game I have seen him play and I suggest he would be pushing for senior selection this week," VFL coach Terry Daniher said"

What a machine! Bring Jordan in and our problems will be solved! (well seeing as though he isn't a full foward, they probably wont..)

If only we could play this man:

"VFL contracted player Luke Hawkins continued to provide a target up forward for the Bombers. 23-year-old Hawkins played at full-forward for the entire match, booting 7-goals and taking a number of strong marks"

Go reserves! Go!

and this:

"In his return match from retirement, John Barnes played the majority of the match in the forward pocket. Although his statistics are not over flattering – he had two kicks and two handballs – his talk around the ground lifted his teammates. "

I reckon I could get a game in the VFL team. How do I become a contract player? I'm seriously thinking of ringing up the club.

Heh, a guy I work with used to be good mates with a trainer down at Melbourne. A few year back when they were struggling with injuires he (the trainer) put his hand up to play in the twos as he had been a pretty good surburban player.

They laughed at him and told him to forget it.

I think you might find it a bit tougher than you expect ;)

Yeah, I know a one of the trainers and the masuer. So I might have better luck. :p

Still, I'm up for it. Even if they do tell me to piss off. :)

Soz to intrude on ya board but i just had to say that i have been a big fan of Jordan's since even before his debut. I got his badge from his first year and he is definately a mini Misiti. Good luck to Banno and if he ever gets the chop i hope he ends up at one of my clubs!
